There are many ways to experiencethe Costa Brava , but none as intense as hanging from its cliffs. Get ready for a vertical adventure by the sea.
The Cala del Molí via ferrata is 480 metres of thrills, over bridges, clamps and sections suspended above the waves. A perfect experience to get you started in this discipline or to enjoy it from another angle: literally. The views, the adrenaline and the natural surroundings make every step an experience to remember.
You decide whether you come for the challenge or for the scenery. What is clear is that you will leave with a smile on your face and a desire to do it again.
What we will do
We will have to arrive punctually at the indicated point in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, where we will be met by a technical climbing guide.
There we will be given the necessary equipment: helmet, harness, dissipative tape and anchor or rest tape. We will have a few minutes to equip ourselves, check our backpacks, apply sunscreen and get ready for the route. Then, we will walk for about 5 minutes to the start of the route.
Before starting, we will receive a detailed explanation about the use of the material, safety rules and the route. The route is circular and runs along the cliffs overlooking the sea, with unbeatable views of the Costa Brava.
The excitement will be palpable as you travel along the only ferrata in the world over the sea. The total height of the highest point is 28 metres, but almost all the time we will be at an average height of about 4 metres above the water.
The ferrata is equipped with clamps, anchors, steps, chains and Tibetan bridges. We will start with a K2 level section of about 320 metres. This first sector includes two more technical steps: a small vertical wall and the famous "Paso de la Preñada", where the guide will accompany us closely .
As we continue, we will pass an easy transition zone and enter the second section of level K3, with some more technical steps. At the end, we will return to the starting point.
The effective duration of the route is between 1.5 and 2 hours. On busy days, the time can be extended up to 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This via ferrata is suitable for beginners. Given the characteristics of the activity itself, it will be necessary to have some physical preparation.
The minimum weight of participants is 40 kg and the maximum is 120 kg.
The minimum height is 1.45 metres.
It is not recommended for pregnant women, people with heart or respiratory problems and people who are overweight. In addition, it is not suitable for people with motor disabilities. If you have any doubts about the suitability of the activity, consult your doctor.
The minimum recommended age is 10 years old. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Other information
It is possible to do this activity all year round. The starting time is early in the morning to avoid crowds.
Important: at certain times of the year the second section may be closed due to the nesting of protected birds. If there are any limitations, you will be informed in advance.
Accompanying persons who do not participate can wait at the port.
A maximum of 6 people per group may participate, who will be accompanied by a climbing guide.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
