The Cala del Molí via ferrata will put you to the test as you discover the cliffs of the Costa Brava from up close. On a lateral route of 320 or 480 metres you will enjoy thrills, challenges and fun over the sea. Let yourself be seduced by this unforgettable landscape while you take your first steps in an exciting activity.
It will take between 2 and 3 unforgettable hours because there is no other like it: the only via ferrata between cliffs over the sea is waiting for you.
What we will do
The meeting point with the guides will be in Sant Feliu de Guíxols. It is advisable to arrive about 30 minutes before.
Before going to the via ferrata, we will spend about 5 minutes getting equipped. From the meeting point we will walk about 10 minutes to the start of the route, accessible by going down some stairs. Here we will receive a detailed explanation of the stages of the route, the most complex steps and how the equipment works.
The via ferrata is made up of clamps, steel cable and climbing anchors between cliffs. The route will be lateral and divided into two parts of easy and medium level: the first classified as K2 and the second as K3. The first section is 320 metres long, while the complete route is 480 metres long.
In the first part we will find only two complex points. The first will be a 4-metre section on a wall at a height of 3 metres. The second is known as"Paso de la Preñada", a stretch where you can't see where to put your feet and whichthe guide will help you to cross.
During the nesting period, which usually lasts until the end of May, we will only be able to do this K2 section. Before reaching the second part, we will walk for about 100 metres, which is very easy, after which we will find an escape route. If we decide to continue, we will have to face a section with some more technical steps. At the end, things will become simpler again.
At the end, we can celebrate our feat with some snacks and refreshments . In total it will take us between 1.5 and 2 hours to complete the first section, and about 3 hours for the whole via ferrata.
Who it is aimed at
This via ferrata is suitable for beginners. Given the characteristics of the activity itself, it will be necessary to have some physical preparation.
The minimum weight of participants is 40 kg and the maximum is 120 kg.
It is not recommended for pregnant women, people with heart problems or overweight. It is also not suitable for people with mobility problems.
The minimum age is 10 years old. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Other information
Important: during the nesting period, which usually runs from December to the end of May, the second section of the track will be closed, so only the 320 metres of the K2 route can be covered.
It is possible to do the experience all year round and every day of the week. The activity will be confirmed if a minimum group of 4 people is reached .
Accompanying persons who do not participate can wait at the harbour.
A maximum of 14 people per group can participate. From 11 participants upwards, 2 guides will be assigned.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
