Ready to face the Devil? Don't worry, in this canyon the only thing that inspires fear is the name.
In the heart of the Serranía de Ronda, the Sima del Diablo is one of the most beautiful water canyoning descents in Malaga. Waterfalls, crystal clear pools and walls covered in vegetation await us on an exciting, fun and accessible route.
You will enjoy abseiling, natural slides and lots of adventure. Would you like to discover it?
What we will do
We will be at the meeting point in Júzcar, Málaga, 10 minutes before the booking time. There we will meet our guides, who we will follow in our private cars to the vicinity of the ravine (it will only take a few minutes) . We will organise to leave some vehicles near the beginning and others at the end, making the return trip easier.
Once we are all together, we will receive the material and we will be able to solve the first doubts. A short walk will take us to the entrance of La Sima del Diablo, where we will have a safety briefing to learn the basic rules and how to use the equipment.
Then it's time to get into the adventure! It will be an aquatic experience from start to finish, with 4 mandatory abseils of up to 12 metres (but accessible) , stretches of natural slides, waterfalls and pools to dive into. We will discover the spectacular surroundings of the Genal valley, in the Serranía de Ronda, between chestnut trees and walls sculpted by the water. The canyon is a steep canyon with a total gradient of about 50 metres, which gives it a touch of excitement without being technical or excessively demanding.
A perfect experience for beginners or for the whole family to enjoy with specialised guides. It will take about 3. 5 hours to cover the 1. 5 km of the canyon. We will always follow the pace of the group, so that everyone can enjoy the experience in complete safety.
The total duration of the experience will be between 5 and 6 hours.
Who it is aimed at
It is not necessary to have experience in canyoning and you can participate from 30 kg of weight, but it is advisable to be used to do some physical activity.
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult. You will need to inform the guide in advance if children will be participating. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
The experience is not suitable for pregnant women or people with motor disabilities. If you have any doubts about the suitability of the activity, please consult your doctor.
Other information
The activity is available all year round and is confirmed when a minimum group of 6 people is reached .
Important: you will have to communicate in advance to the guide the following information about each of the participants: height, height, weight, name and ID number. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
There will always be 2 guides to be able to follow the group in complete safety.
Please note that you will be in the middle of nature and that there are no facilities for changing or storing personal belongings.
Accompanying persons who do not participate can stay in the area and visit the beautiful "blue village" of Júzcar. Dogs may be kept on a lead.
In the area you will find free parking, but it is not possible to get there by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
