A descent with breathtaking views.
The Majales canyon awaits you in Júzcar, in the heart of the Genal Valley. Its route is ideal for those looking for action in a vertical environment, with up to 7 rappels and pools of crystal clear water.
A complete and panoramic descent that will make you see canyoning from the heights. Are you ready to conquer the Serranía de Ronda?
What we will do
We will arrive at the meeting point in Júzcar, Málaga, 10 minutes before the booking time. There we will meet our guides and follow them in our private cars to the car park at the end of the Arroyo Majales ravine, located just above the village.
Once we are all together, we will equip ourselves with all the necessary technical equipment and we will attend a safety briefing to learn the basic rules and techniques of abseiling. From the first moment, the canyon is vertical and spectacular, with up to 7 abseils of different heights, the highest of which is about 10 metres.
We will descend through waterfalls, cross rock formations shaped by the water and, if the flow allows it, we will enjoy crystal clear pools and even a small natural slide. The views of the blue village of Júzcar and the Genal Valley will accompany us at all times, giving us an open and panoramic environment.
We will always follow the pace of the group, so that everyone enjoys the experience in complete safety, taking about 3 hours to descend the canyon.
The total duration of the experience will be between 5 and 6 hours.
Who it is aimed at
It is not necessary to have experience in canyoning and you can participate from 30 kg of weight, but it is advisable to be used to do some physical activity.
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult. You will need to inform the guide in advance if children will be participating. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
The experience is not suitable for pregnant women or people with motor disabilities. If you have any doubts about the suitability of the activity, please consult your doctor.
Other information
The activity is not always available, as the canyon only flows after rainy periods. The experience is confirmed when a minimum group of 6 people is reached .
Important: you will have to communicate in advance to the guide the following information about each of the participants: height, height, weight, name and ID card number. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
There will always be 2 guides to be able to follow the group in complete safety.
Please note that you will be in the middle of nature and that there are no facilities for changing or storing personal belongings.
Accompanying persons who do not participate can stay in the area and visit the beautiful "blue village" of Júzcar. Dogs may be kept on a lead.
In the area you will find free parking, but it is not possible to get there by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
