Experience a vertical adventure on a unique geological jewel in Catalonia!
The Via Ferrata Roca de la Creu, in the Eastern Pyrenees, awaits you on the only granophyre of volcanic origin in Catalonia. We will climb between reddish needles, cross hanging bridges and climb until we reach the flag at the top.

What we will do
We will meet at the agreed time at the meeting point in Ribes de Freser, in the region of Ripollès, province of Girona, where an expert guide will welcome us with all the material we will need for the adventure. Once we have the equipment, we will start walking together through the charming village until we leave the town centre and take the path that will lead us to the beginning of the via ferrata. During this walk, we will warm up our engines and enjoy the Pyrenean landscape that surrounds us.
Before we start climbing, we will be given a short safety briefing to explain how to use the equipment and what to expect along the route. Everything is designed to ensure that we have a good time and with total confidence.
Once we have completed the approach, which takes approximately 15 minutes, we will climb a vertical wall that will give us our first dose of adrenaline, with some impressive aerial steps, but which we will enjoy very much. As we gain height, we'll be climbing between reddish needles of granophyre, a sub-volcanic rock that, mind you, was once the fiery heart of an ancient volcano - literally walking through the fossilised bowels of fire! If you've ever dreamed of exploring a volcano from the inside... this is as close as you'll get without melting your shoes.
During the ascent we will pass Tibetan bridges, small overhangs and hanging sections that give this adventure that thrilling touch while still being accessible to all. Once at the top, we will reach the ridge and go along a more horizontal section, very panoramic, where we will have time to relax, take photos and admire the incredible views of the Vall de Ribes and the peaks of the Eastern Pyrenees.
We will reach one of the peaks, where a cross and a flag await us, and that feeling of "we have done it! Afterwards, we will start the descent on foot along a path that will take us back to the starting point in about 40 minutes.
In total it will be 4 and a half hours of fun, excitement and nature, perfect to get out of the routine and experience something different!
Who it is aimed at
This via ferrata is suitable for beginners. Given the characteristics of the activity itself, it will be necessary to have some physical preparation.
The minimum weight of participants is 40 kg and the maximum is 120 kg.
The minimum height is 1.45 metres.
It is not recommended for pregnant women, people with heart or respiratory problems or people who are overweight. In addition, it is not suitable for people with motor disabilities. If you have any doubts about the suitability of the activity, consult your doctor.
The minimum recommended age is 10 years old. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

It is possible to do this activity every day, all year round. The starting time is early in the morning to avoid crowds.
Parking is available in the area.
It is possible to reach the surrounding area by public transport.
Accompanying persons not participating can wait at the meeting point.
A maximum of 6 people per group may participate, accompanied by a climbing guide.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
