Some people like to see the Costa Dorada from the beach. .. you'll see it from the heights.
On the Via Ferrata dels Patacons, one of the most spectacular in Catalonia, vertical sections, Nepalese bridges and breathtaking views of the Serra de la Mussara await you. A guided experience of 3 to 4 hours, safe, fun and suitable for all levels.
What we will do
We will meet between 30 and 45 minutes before the agreed time at the meeting point in Salou, Tarragona. There we will be met by our expert guide and, after a brief introduction, we will set off for the start of the ferrata, about 30 minutes from the meeting point.
And then. .. the adventure begins! We will be given the complete equipment: harness, helmet and dissipator, and we will be given a simple explanation of how to progress along the route and how to stay safe at all times.
The Via Ferrata dels Patacons is one of the most spectacular in Catalonia, with almost 500 metres of route between rock, iron and incredible landscapes. We will advance through vertical and horizontal sections, crossing up to 4 Nepalese bridges that will test our balance and will give us amazing views of the Costa Dorada.
Along the route we will find climbing steps where we will have to use hands and feet on the rock, always secured to the life cable that accompanies us at all times. For those who want an extra adrenaline rush, there is an optional pillar with an abseiling descent and a 7-metre overhanging flank, undoubtedly one of the most exciting points of the route.
Throughout the whole experience, the guide will accompany us, helping us to overcome the most demanding steps and making sure that we enjoy ourselves to the full, whether it is our first time or if we already have experience.
After reaching the top of the final part and taking a break with postcard views of the Serra de la Mussara, we will start our way back, relaxed and with a smile on our faces.
In total there will be 3 to 4 hours of pure adventure, of which 2 to 3 hours will be dedicated to the route itself, between emotion, nature and spectacular landscapes.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for children from 8 years old and at least 1. 5 metres tall.
Children may participate as long as they are accompanied by a responsible adult.
For safety reasons, this experience is not recommended for pregnant women, people with motor disabilities, reduced mobility or in the process of post-operative recovery.
No previous experience is required.
Other information
The activity is available from February to November.
Free parking is available in the area of the meeting point. It is not accessible by public transport.
Non-participating companions and pets can wait at the meeting point.
The organisers offer a free pick-up and drop-off service from any point in Salou. To request it, you just have to contact them directly through the details you will receive in the confirmation email of your booking.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
