Ready to take to the waters of one of Europe's most special marine enclaves?
Explore the waters of the Strait of Gibraltar on this dolphin watching excursion. Set sail from Sotogrande aboard the Brétema in the company of a marine biologist in search of cetaceans in the wild.

What we will do
The captain and the marine biologist who will accompany us during the experience will be waiting for us at the Sotogrande marina 10 minutes before the booking time. We will board the Brétema, a super-silent hybrid ecological boat, ideal for enjoying the environment without disturbing the marine fauna.
In the first few minutes, we will receive an introduction to the route, the species that inhabit the Strait of Gibraltar and the importance of their conservation. We will sail in the direction of the strait, on a route that will focus on locating the best areas for sighting cetaceans in their habitat. During the trip, we will have privileged views of the Rock of Gibraltar and, if we are lucky, we will be able to observe several species of dolphins such as the common, bottlenose and striped dolphins.
The biologist on board will share curious facts and explanations about the behaviour of these fascinating animals, as well as about the rest of the surrounding fauna. We will sail for approximately 2 and a half hours, in a unique experience of connection with marine nature.
The activity will last a total of 3 hours.

The boat is not wheelchair accessible. People with slight mobility problems can board with assistance.
Other information
This activity is available all year round and is confirmed when a minimum of 2 people is reached.
You will board the Brétema, an 8-metre inflatable boat. It is an ecological hybrid boat with hydrophone, binoculars and camera to record underwater videos.
For the whole family to enjoy, you can also take your dog on board, as long as it is a small breed and respectful of the other participants.
Free parking is available near the harbour. It is not possible to reach the area by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
