Full description
When the boat moves through the waters of the Alagón valley, time seems to stand still and nature takes centre stage.
This private boat tour will take you into one of the most unknown and surprising corners of the province of Cáceres. Over the course of 3 hours, you will sail among granite formations sculpted by the river over centuries, while observing the varied fauna that inhabits this unique landscape of the Tagus International Nature Reserve.
An authentic experience of connection with nature, where only the flight of birds is able to break through. Discover it for yourself!
What we will do
The meeting point is located very close to the ruins of the old Fuente del Huevo Spa. The skipper will meet us there 15 minutes before departure.
We will travel along the Alagón Valley on board the Masmenor, a llaüt-type boat. We will be able to go up or down the river. The first option will take us from the bridge of Ceclavín to the Canchos de Ramiro. We will navigate slowly through the areas of greatest interest for bird watching , such as herons, kites and eagles. At some points the landscape will be dominated by majestic canyons and gorges.
If we choose to navigate downstream we will find ourselves in the heart of the Extremadura dehesa. Passing through the Canchal de la Rana, Los Infiernos or the Los Riscos waterfall, we will reach Huerta Hidalgo. It will be a perfect crossing to enjoy the calm of river beaches accessible only by boat. For nature lovers, it will be an opportunity to see species such as the griffon vulture or the black stork.
On both routes you will also discover the natural habitat of otters, wild boar and fallow deer. We can also take a dip in the refreshing waters of the Alagón. Before returning, we will recharge our batteries with drinks and a delicious board of cold meats and cheeses from the area with Protected Designation of Origin.
The activity will last 3 hours.
