If you are looking for a getaway that combines fresh air with learning, this route through the Sierra Morena Natural Park in Seville is for you.
Enjoy a day of 1 or 2 hours of hiking and bird watching in Guadalcanal, with an expert guide, learning even ancient methods to locate water and minerals in the ground, in an experience fully adaptable to your level.
What we will do
We will meet our guide 15 minutes before the agreed time at the meeting point in Guadalcanal, Seville. After a brief welcome and introduction, we will set off to explore the Sierra Morena de Sevilla Natural Park. As this is a flexible route, we will decide together the most convenient route depending on the time of the year, being able to walk along the paths close to the village or to go into the wildest landscapes of the sierra.
During the tour, which will last 1 or 2 hours (depending on our choice at the time of booking), we will walk through an area of vital ornithological importance due to the presence of around 125 species of birds. With the help of an expert guide, we will look for majestic birds of prey such as the Iberian imperial eagle, the golden eagle or the black vulture, while we discover the secrets of their habitat in the dehesas of Seville.
But on this route we will not only look at the sky. At ground level, we will learn fascinating and ancestral methods for the search of water and minerals, connecting with the mining past of the area and places like the Minas de las Bayonas. It is a perfect opportunity for us to enjoy learning to "read" the landscape of Sierra Morena in an enjoyable and participative way.
We will make stops to refresh ourselves and comment on the group's findings, enjoying the views at strategic points such as near the Ermita de Guaditoca.
We will finish the activity returning to the starting point, having shared an experience of total connection with the biodiversity and geology of Guadalcanal.

This experience is suitable for all ages, with no age limit.
Minors must always be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Pregnant women can do the route at their own risk, and must give prior notice of their participation.
The activity is not suitable for wheelchair users. In cases of reduced mobility, it will be necessary to consult in advance to assess the feasibility according to the type of mobility.

Groups are confirmed with a minimum of 1 participant and a maximum of 50.
Pets are allowed, as long as they are controlled in order to respect the natural environment.
The organisers offer transfer included for clients arriving by train to Guadalcanal or by bus, subject to prior arrangement. You will receive contact details in the confirmation email.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
