Guided tour in Ryker through the mountains and valleys of southern Gran Canaria

Why settle for gazing at the peaks from the coast when you can ride through volcanic valleys to a palm-tree oasis?

Accompanied by a professional guide, you’ll head from Maspalomas to the charming village of Fataga on a two-hour route . You’ll ride a Can-Am Ryker through deep ravines, stopping at unique viewpoints to capture every moment and discovering the interior of Gran Canaria on tarmac.

What we will do

We’ll meet at the agreed time at the meeting point in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria. Our professional guide, who will be with us throughout the trip, will be waiting for us there . After a short transfer to the base to finalise the details, we’ll be kitted out with approved helmets in our size and given a safety briefing. Before hitting the tarmac, we’ll do a quick test ride to get to grips with the handling and grip of our Can-Am Ryker.

Once ready, we’ll start the engines to begin our 2-hour mountainous journey, climbing along tarmac roads towards the heart of the island. We’ll ride in convoy at a steady pace, leaving the coast behind as we venture into deep gorges, subtropical valleys and volcanic landscapes with panoramic viewpoints.

Throughout the ascent, we’ll make strategic stops at viewing points to admire the island’s peaks and record videos using our vehicle’s mobile phone mount. We’ll continue the route until we reach the charming village of Fataga, where we’ll take a break of about 15 minutes to stroll through its streets, admire its palm-tree oasis and take photographs.

With our energy renewed after the visit and our mobile phones’ memory cards full of memories, we’ll begin the descent back down, winding our way through the valleys until we reach the base in Maspalomas.

The activity will last a total of two and a half hours, including preparations and stops.

Who it is aimed at

The driver must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid Category B driving licence (foreign licences are accepted) .

Passengers must be at least 10 years old and must be accompanied by an adult.

The difficulty level is easy and suitable for a first-time experience on a Can-Am Ryker. However, some prior experience with thumb-throttle vehicles is recommended, although this is not an essential requirement.

The maximum permitted weight is 200 kg per vehicle.

Pregnant women may take part in the activity at their own risk.

The activity is suitable for participants with reduced mobility, but you must consult the organisers in advance before booking.

Pets are not permitted.

Other information

The tour is available all year round, from Monday to Saturday at 10. 00 am.

During the tour, the driver and passenger can take turns at the wheel, provided they both meet the necessary requirements.

The organisers have four Can-Am Ryker vehicles, each with capacity for one driver and one passenger, making a total of eight participants.

There is a pay-and-display car park on site. You can reach the meeting point by public transport (bus or taxi) .

The route runs entirely along tarmac roads.

Recommended clothing

• Comfortable clothing (it’s best to wear long trousers, except in summer)
• Sports or walking shoes (do not wear flip-flops)
