130 metres for you to put your vertigo to the test.
The via ferrata Roques de l'Empalomar in Vallcebre will reward you with breathtaking views over the Berguedà. You'll cross suspension bridges, climb with the help of clamps and face the most vertical sections with the excitement of someone who is conquering summits. It may seem like a difficult challenge to overcome, but it will be the best possible initiation.
On the edge of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park, an adventure that will make you dream of Montseny and Pedraforca.
What we will do
The appointment will be at the indicated point in Vallcebre, 10 minutes before the booking time. Our guide will be waiting for us there, who will give us the equipment and give us the first indications before starting a 20-minute approach walk to the start of the route.
On arrival at the foot of the via ferrata Roques de l'Empalomar, the guide will give a technical briefing to go over the safety rules and learn how to progress along the via ferrata.
After correctly positioning the equipment, the vertical adventure will begin: a 130-metre wall equipped with cables, clamps, two suspension bridges. .. The longest is 12 metres! The whole route is compulsory, but the itinerary is designed to be enjoyed and to gain confidence step by step.
During the climb, the views over the Berguedà become increasingly impressive. If the day is clear, you can see from Montseny to the Pre-Pyrenees and the Pyrenees. At the end of the route, we will descend along a comfortable path for about 15 minutes.
The activity will last approximately 3 hours, of which 2 hours and a quarter will be spent on the via ferrata.
Who it is aimed at
This is a level 2 via ferrata. It is not necessary to have experience, but it is necessary to be used to doing physical activity.
It can be done from the age of 12, minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The maximum weight is 110 kg.
The via ferrata is not suitable for people with vertigo or fear of heights.
It is not recommended for pregnant women, or for people with cardiovascular problems, back or knee injuries. It is forbidden to do the activity under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The activity is not accessible to people with motor disabilities.
Other information
The activity can be done all year round and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.
There are no facilities with changing rooms or lockers. It is advisable to bring the minimum necessary, as you will have to leave valuables in the car.
Accompanying persons who do not participate may accompany the group to the start of the ferrata and/or do some hiking in the area. Dogs may be kept on a lead.
Free parking is available at the meeting point. It is not possible to reach the area by public transport.
