Full description
There are beautiful sunsets, and then there’s watching the sun dip below a blanket of clouds at an altitude of over 2, 200 metres.
Enjoy a 3-hour group excursion at the controls of a single or double quad bike. You’ll follow a scenic route on tarmac, ascending comfortably to the highest viewpoints on Mount Teide. A unique adventure through the peaks of Tenerife, including snacks and a drink, plus a photo report to take home as a souvenir.
What we will do
Our adventure begins at the meeting point in Puerto de la Cruz; please arrive 15 minutes before your booked time to complete check-in. From there, we’ll take the complimentary transfer to the base in Aguamansa, where we’ll be kitted out with approved helmets, thick, warm jackets and gloves.
After a brief briefing on how to handle the quad bikes, we’ll start the engines and set off in convoy. We’ll climb safely along a mountain road surrounded by Canary Island pines until we reach an altitude of over 2, 200 metres, entering the spectacular landscape of Teide National Park. We’ll stop at the best vantage points just in time to watch the sunset over the sea of clouds, whilst enjoying a tasty Canarian snack and a refreshing drink to toast the moment.
Finally, we’ll set off on the return journey along the tarmac road as dusk falls. We’ll enjoy a magical drive under the starry sky and return to base for the onward transfer back to Puerto de la Cruz, bringing our total experience to 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for beginners; no previous experience of riding a quad bike is required.
To take part, you must hold a Category B driving licence or equivalent and be of legal age. Foreign driving licences will be accepted provided the driver is at least 18 years old .
The minimum age for passengers is 7 years.
The maximum weight per quad bike must not exceed 175 kg.
For safety reasons, this activity is not permitted for pregnant women or people with back or neck injuries or conditions.
People with reduced mobility may take part as passengers, but must notify us in advance when making the booking so that we can arrange access.
Other information
The tour is available all year round.
You can complete the route on either a single-seater quad bike or a two-seater quad bike. On two-seater quad bikes, the driver and passenger can swap places halfway through the route. You will need to pay an additional €20 for insurance and present your original driving licence.
We advise you to inform the organiser in advance of any allergies or intolerances so that an alternative snack can be provided. You will receive the contact details in your booking confirmation email.
You must tie your hair back and avoid wearing long scarves to prevent it from getting caught accidentally.
Pets are not permitted.
There is free parking near the meeting point , and it is easily accessible by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is last minute. You get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
