Full description
Crossing the waters of the Mediterranean under sail is a thrilling experience, and even more so if you're the captain of the boat.
Climb aboard a dinghy in Platja d'Aro and enjoy a tailor-made session. You will learn the technical basics from scratch or perfect your style guided by an exclusive technical instructor. It will be an hour and a half of dynamic learning, adrenaline and real connection with the wind where you set the pace of the session.
What we will do
You will be met 15 minutes before the agreed time at the meeting point in Platja d'Aro, Girona. After the welcome, your instructor will ask you about your level of previous experience and will explain in detail the specific objectives of the session. Then, you will actively participate in the assembly of the boat, a dinghy selected according to your particular needs (available from 4 metres in length) .
You will put the boat in the water and, if the conditions of the coast require it, the boat will be towed by means of a support motorboat to leave the port in complete safety. Once in the open sea, you will enjoy a highly dynamic sailing lesson, where you will experience the adrenaline of steering the course and adjusting the sails according to the wind. The instructor will be by your side at all times , correcting your posture, teaching you key manoeuvres and adapting the training to your actual progress.
At the end of the session on the water, you will return to land to proceed to dismantle the boat and carry out the subsequent preparations in the beaching area. To round off the 1. 5 hour experience with a flourish, the instructor will offer you his recommendations and final conclusions so that you can continue to evolve on your next sailing trips.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone from 6 years of age. It is completely open to beginners with no previous sailing experience, as well as intermediate sailors looking to perfect specific manoeuvres.
The class takes place in private format with a minimum of 1 participant and a maximum of 2 people per instructor at the same time.
It is recommended to know how to swim in order to enjoy the experience with total peace of mind.
For technical and access reasons, this experience is not suitable for people in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility.
If you bring companions, they will not be able to board the boat but they can wait for you comfortably enjoying the beach or relaxing in the beach bar next to the meeting point.
Other information
The experience is available from March to November. The schedule of departures is organised as follows:
- March to August: available from Monday to Sunday with fixed shifts at 15: 00 and 17: 00.
- From September to November: available exclusively at weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) at 15: 00 and 17: 00.
Lessons are private, with a maximum number of 2 participants per instructor to ensure optimal learning.
The meeting point has lockers for your belongings.
In high season (June to September) the nearest car park is payable; the rest of the year it is free of charge. You can also easily reach us by public transport and walk a few minutes from the bus stop.
Pets are prohibited on the beach area and on board boats due to local regulations.
All sea activity is subject to weather conditions.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 31 days from the activity start date. Within 30 and 15 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
