Panoramic tour on a 3-seater trike around the volcanoes and coastline of Lanzarote

Put on your helmet, feel the wind brushing against your face and get ready to devour the tarmac with the rebellious elegance of a chopper and the stability of three wheels.

Accompanied by a professional guide, you’ll set off from Yaiza on a 3-hour ride brimming with style. At the controls of a 3-seater manual trike, you’ll tackle 80 kilometres of scenic roads across Lanzarote, passing through the vineyards of La Geria, along the Famara coastline, through the sea breeze of La Santa and past the volcanic silhouettes of Timanfaya.

What we will do

We’ll meet at the specified time at the meeting point in Yaiza, Lanzarote. A professional guide will be waiting for us there to accompany us on our excursion. After the group has introduced themselves, we’ll put on our helmets and receive a detailed briefing on how to operate the 3-seater manual trike and the rules of the road, so we can enjoy the journey in complete safety.

With the engines running, we’ll set off on a route consisting entirely of tarmac, covering a distance of around 80 km. The first part of the route will take us through the island’s inland heartland, passing through the picturesque wine-growing valley of La Geria and the traditional villages of Masdache, La Vegueta and San Bartolomé, where the fields of black ash contrast with the Canarian architecture.

We’ll continue the journey towards the coast, passing through Soo until we reach the Famara area, famous for its cliffs and sandy beaches. Depending on the group’s preferences, we’ll stop at the Monument to the Peasant (an iconic work by César Manrique) or in the village of Famara itself to take in the views towards the island of La Graciosa.

Further on, we’ll reach our second stop in the charming fishing village of La Santa. We’ll enjoy a 20- to 25-minute break – ideal for resting, using the loo, having a snack and posing for photos that the guide will take using our own mobile phones.

On the final stretch, we’ll take the wheel to drive along the volcanic landscapes surrounding Timanfaya National Park, taking in the silhouette of the volcanoes from the road before concluding the return journey in Yaiza.

The activity will last a total of 3 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The driver must be at least 21 years old and have held a valid Category B driving licence for at least two years (licences from the European Union and the United Kingdom are accepted) .

Passengers must be at least 7 years old.

The difficulty level is easy and suitable for beginners with experience of driving manual cars.

Pregnant women may take part in the activity at their own risk.

People in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility may only take part as passengers (please note that wheelchairs cannot be carried on board the vehicle during the tour) .

Pets are not permitted.

Other information

The tour is available all year round (except on selected dates) , from Monday to Saturday, with departures at 09: 30 and 13: 15, and is confirmed once a minimum of two trikes have been booked.

During the tour, the driver and passengers can take turns at the wheel, provided they meet the required age, experience and licence criteria.

The organisers have 7 trikes and organise groups with a maximum of 5 vehicles per guide (15 participants per group) .

The price is per trike; each vehicle has a capacity of 3 seats (1 driver and 2 passengers) .

Free parking is available on site. Travelling by public transport is not recommended, although the organisers offer a pick-up service upon prior request at a cost of 5 euros per person.
