Full description
Feel like Jack and Rose on board the Titanic spending a night in the middle of the Atlantic. Imagine it: the stars, the sea breeze and the sound of the waves as a soundtrack.
In this activity you will sail for 12 hours aboard a sailboat, learning all sorts of details about the stars. You will understand how a planisphere works and a certified Sea Starlight monitor will explain how throughout history a vital link has been created between astronomy and navigation.
To complete the experience, you'll enjoy dinner and breakfast with unique views - come on board!
What we will do
We will meet in Puerto Sherry, where the crew will welcome us 15 minutes before 7pm.
After a 15 minute briefing on the safety of the boat, we will start sailing the waters of the Atlantic Ocean as the sun sets and the first stars begin to shine. We will enjoy a light dinner, tasting different local products and we will be able to experience the sensation of sleeping rocked by the sounds of the ocean.
As soon as it is night and we have moved away from the light pollution zone, we will observe the sky with curious eyes and an expert monitor certified by Sea Starlight will explain to us the relationship between astronomy and navigation. He will help us to interpret the stars with the help of a laser pointer, navigation charts and planispheres, which we will be able to take back with us as a souvenir.
We will return to port at around 7 a.m. to enjoy a good breakfast while watching the sunrise.
The tour will be completed with the 30-minute virtual reality experience "Between the sea and the stars", which we can do with the boat moored in the port, before or after sailing.
The total duration of the activity will be 12 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone.
Minors can participate with an adult or with a signed permit.
Both the port and the boat are accessible for people with reduced mobility, but it is not possible to board with a wheelchair.

The activity takes place from March to November and is confirmed when a minimum group of 4 participants is reached.
You can use the private car park in Puerto Sherry if you ask the organiser for permission.
It is possible to take small dogs on board , but it is necessary to give prior notice so that the crew can be prepared.
We will sail on a 12-metre sailing boat equipped with bathroom with shower, double cabin and lounge with sofa.
With prior notice, dinner and breakfast can be adapted for people with any kind of intolerance or allergy and also for vegans or vegetarians.
We always try to sail under sail, but at nightfall it is often necessary to start the engine.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
