What can the stars tell you? You've probably looked up at the immensity of the night and asked yourself more than one question.
Feel like a real astronomer for 3.5 hours in this ideal experience to escape from routine. Sailing through the waters of the Bay of Cadiz you will enjoy a complete explanation by a Sea Starlight certified instructor.
You will learn about constellations and you can go one step further with the virtual reality activity "Between the sea and the stars". Embark on this adventure.
What we will do
We will meet in Puerto Sherry. It is important that we arrive 15 minutes in advance, as before setting sail the skipper will explain the safety measures.
Then, as we sail the waters of the Bay of Cadiz, we will be able to enjoy the sunset and start to observe the first stars. We will get away from the light pollution to immerse ourselves in the beautiful world of the stars.
A Sea Starlight monitor will teach us how to interpret the celestial vault, and will explain different points in the sky in detail. We will have the help of planispheres and a laser pointer to recognise the main celestial bodies.
For 3 hours we will be able to discover the connection between navigation and astronomy. In addition, while enjoying the night scene, we will also have the pleasure of a tasting of local products.
The tour will be completed with the 30-minute virtual reality experience "Between the sea and the stars", which we will do with the boat moored in the port, before or after sailing.
The total duration of the activity will be 3.5 hours, with 3 hours of actual sailing.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone.
Minors can participate with an adult or with a signed permit.
Both the port and the boat are accessible for people with reduced mobility, but it is not possible to board with a wheelchair.

The activity takes place from March to November and is confirmed when a minimum group of 4 participants is reached.
You can use the private car park in Puerto Sherry if you ask the organiser for permission.
It is possible to take small dogs on board , but it is necessary to give prior notice so that the crew can be prepared.
We will sail on a 12 metre sailing boat equipped with bathroom, double cabin and lounge with sofa.
With prior notice, the food can be adapted for people with any kind of intolerance or allergy and also for vegans or vegetarians.
We always try to sail under sail, but when night falls it is often necessary to start the engine.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
