How about dedicating this weekend to following in the footsteps of the most mysterious animal in Spain?
In this private experience you will experience what others only see in documentaries. You will observe the Iberian lynx in the Sierra de Andújar, with expert guides, sighting stops at key points and enjoying quiet routes, wild nature and all-inclusive rural accommodation.
What we will do
You will be welcomed on Friday afternoon at your rural accommodation in Andújar (check-in from 15: 00 h) . There you will meet the guide, review the plan for the weekend and have time to settle in and enjoy the first typical dinner of the area.
On Friday afternoon, all day Saturday and Sunday morning you will live a totally private experience focused on tracking and observing the Iberian lynx, the most endangered feline on the planet and one of the most emblematic animals of the Mediterranean forest. You will make several sighting stops at key points in the Sierra de Andújar, considered the area with the highest density of lynxes in the whole peninsula. Equipped with binoculars and spotting scopes, you will learn to interpret signals, listen to the environment and detect movements among rocky areas, holm oaks and crags: the perfect landscape for the lynx to roam freely.
Between waits, you will walk along some of the most representative routes of the Mediterranean ecosystem, always at a leisurely pace. Although the lynx is the protagonist, it will not be the only one: if you are lucky you may see mongooses, foxes, badgers, deer, fallow deer, as well as imperial eagles, eagle owls, vultures and other birds of prey that fly over these mountains. A diverse fauna that turns every outing into a different surprise.
All meals during the weekend - breakfasts, lunches and dinners - will be enjoyed in the rural accommodation itself, where you will receive a warm welcome and an authentic sample of the local cuisine. You will have time to rest between activities, review photographs or simply relax listening to the stillness of the mountain.
On Sunday at midday, after the last observation trip, you will return to the lodge to pick up your luggage and end an exclusive weekend, deeply connected with the Mediterranean nature and dedicated to live the emotion of searching and observing the Iberian lynx in the wild.

This experience is designed for all nature and photography lovers, from beginners to advanced photographers . It is perfect for those who are looking for comfort, proximity to the guide and a totally personalised experience.
It is ideal for couples, families with children from 8 years old, or groups of friends.
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The activity is not suitable for people with reduced mobility and wheelchair users.

Available from January to May, and from September to December.
The experience starts on Friday afternoon and ends on Sunday at noon.
Check-in is from 15: 00 h and check-out is at 11: 00 h. The meeting with the guide at the hotel will be at 16: 00.
The hotel will be assigned according to availability in the area. The organisers will send you all the detailed information about the activity, accommodation and meeting point after booking.
Pets and special cases: check availability according to accommodation and type of route.
The activity depends on nature: the observation of the Iberian lynx is not completely guaranteed, although the Sierra de Andújar is one of the best places to see it.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 31 days from the activity start date. Within 30 and 15 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
