Full description
Follow the murmur of the river Jándula and be amazed by the wonders hidden in the Sierra de Andújar Natural Park.
Go deep into nature with a guided hiking route. Along the trail, you can make stops for bird watching, identifying species such as kingfishers, grey herons and cormorants. You will also learn about the riverside vegetation and its role in this unique ecosystem.
The pace will be leisurely: 3 hours to cover 6 km, with stops at strategic viewpoints to enjoy the scenery. Take your time, take a deep breath and enjoy.
What we will do
We will arrive punctually at the recreational area of Encinarejo, where we will be met by our guide and environmentalist at 8:30 in the morning.
We will start with a brief introduction to the Sierra de Andújar Natural Park and its rules of conduct and conservation. We will then set off, following the path parallel to the river Jándula and making stops for birdwatching with optical equipment such as binoculars and a long-range telescope. The route will take place on dirt tracks in good condition and without major slopes.
Along the way, we will observe forest birds such as the coal tit, the blue tit, the hoopoe and the green woodpecker, while by the water we will hear the song of the nightingale and the oriole. We will also be able to see aquatic species such as mallards, grey herons and cormorants and, with a bit of luck, be surprised by the presence of an otter. We will also learn about the fundamental role of the riverbank vegetation in the river's ecosystem.
We will walk along the whole path, 6 km in total, taking our time and stopping to enjoy the surroundings. We will return to the starting point with the sensation of having lived a unique experience in the middle of nature.
The total duration of the route is approximately 3 hours.

The activity is suitable for everyone. Children must be accompanied.
This route is suitable for people with mobility problems, but it is advisable to inform the organiser beforehand.

The route can be done all year round and will be confirmed if a minimum of 5 participants over 3 years of age is reached.
Dogs on a leash are allowed to participate.
At the meeting point it is possible to park free of charge and the route will end at the same place where it started.
It is possible to make a private route with up to 4 participants at a price of 75 euros.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
