They say that the best memories aren’t planned, but if they include a historic schooner, a dip in crystal-clear waters and a prawn tasting, they’re sure to stay with you forever.
Climb aboard a traditional Algerian fishing boat in Palamós and join us for a 3-hour cruise along the Costa Brava. We’ll sail leisurely along the Girona coastline, drop anchor in idyllic spots to enjoy a refreshing swim with a bit of snorkelling, and treat ourselves to a real feast on deck, savouring the famous local prawns alongside a glass of chilled white wine. A fantastic culinary and maritime experience, perfect for unwinding and making the most of summer at a leisurely pace.
What we will do
We’ll arrive on time at the meeting point in Palamós, Girona. There , the crew will be on hand to welcome us aboard the “Jolie Biche”, a beautiful traditional wooden fishing boat with two imposing masts, built a century ago. If we’re setting sail on a weekday (and port operations allow), we’ll pay a quick but rewarding visit to the local fish market before settling down on the classic deck to set sail.
We’ll sail leisurely around the Palamós area, combining the charm of traditional sailing with the chance to admire the stunning coastal scenery. The trip is not intended as a continuous, motorised scenic cruise, but rather as a leisurely voyage during which the crew will provide insightful explanations about the history of this old fishing boat and the secrets of the Mediterranean environment.
We’ll drop anchor in a beautiful cove with crystal-clear waters , provided the weather and sea conditions are on our side. The time will come to put on our lifejackets and jump into the water to enjoy a refreshing swim, or go snorkelling with the equipment provided. If we’d rather stay dry, we can simply relax in the shade under the awning or lie back and soak up the sun on deck.
We’ll enjoy a delicious tasting of Palamós prawns – one of the most celebrated and sought-after delicacies of seafood cuisine – cooked on board and accompanied by a glass of chilled white wine (or beer/soft drink if you prefer). After the full three hours of this fantastic experience, which combines the sea, history and local produce, we’ll return to the departure quay with the best possible taste in our mouths.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone aged 0 and over.
Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Babies aged 0 to 3 years participate free of charge, although they must be included in the booking as they take up a physical seat on board.
It is recommended that you can swim if taking part in the water activities.
The activity is suitable for pregnant women and accessible to people with reduced mobility. The boat is at the same level as the jetty and does not require an access ramp, so there is only one small step to board safely.

Tours are available from Tuesday to Sunday from 15 May to 15 October.
The tour is organised in shared groups with a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 11 people per group.
Access to the meeting point by public transport is limited, so we recommend travelling by car; you’ll find parking spaces on nearby streets and public car parks at the entrance to the town.
You are allowed to bring your own food on board (such as breakfast or lunch) .
Pets are allowed provided they are well-behaved and the other passengers on the shared trip give their explicit consent upon boarding.
The schooner is a vessel 13 metres in length.
The route and anchorage points for swimming may be adjusted at any time by the skipper depending on sea and wind conditions to ensure safety.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
