You don't have to make a pact with the devil to get through this adventure.
But you do need to be in the mood for adventure! Test yourself with this canyoning descent in the Sima del Diablo, in Júzcar. No experience is necessary and you can discover the lush "Mediterranean jungle" through natural slides and abseiling in waterfalls of up to 15 metres.
Dare and you won't regret it.
What we will do
The guide will meet us at the meeting point in Júzcar, Málaga, about 15 minutes before the booking time. There we will be equipped with wetsuit, harness and helmet, while we attend a first talk about the development of the activity. Afterwards, we will organise to leave some vehicles near the beginning of the canyon and others at the end, facilitating the return.
After a short 200-metre approach section, we will meet at the starting area where the guide will explain all the technical details of the adventure. We will enter the heart of the Genal valley to descend along the course of the river Zúa, in an environment full of vegetation known as the "Mediterranean jungle".
Along the way, we will overcome a handrail, two fun natural slides and three obligatory water rappels that will make us feel the force of the waterfalls. The most exciting moment will come with the famous "Salto del Diablo", an impressive 12-metre high abseil.
After completing the descent in about 3 hours, we will make a 200-metre return to the cars. The total duration of the experience is approximately 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is ideal as a first experience of canyoning and can be done from the age of 14.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult or have the authorisation of a legal guardian.
The minimum weight is 45 kg.
It is necessary to know how to swim.
People with vertigo and pregnant womenare advised not to participate.
The experience is not accessible for people with reduced mobility.

The experience is available all year round and is confirmed when a minimum group of 2 people is reached.
Important: you have to communicate in advance to the guide the following information about each of the participants : height, weight, allergies or illnesses and if you know how to swim. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
Accompanying persons who do not participate with possible pets can stay for a walk around the beautiful village of Júzcar.
Free parking is available in the vicinity of the meeting point and the start of the canyon. It is not possible to reach the area by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
