Get on your bike and discover the charms of the Terra Alta greenway on the stretch between Horta de Sant Joan and Benifallet.
You will discover the route of the old railway that linked Alcañiz and Tortosa. During the 2.5-hour route, you'll alternate between stretches in the middle of nature, dark tunnels and charming villages. Thanks to the signposting and the initial indications of an expert monitor, you won't miss any detail.
If you are looking for a simple activity that allows you to combine nature and tourism, don't hesitate.
What we will do
Our appointment will be at 10 am at the old railway station of Horta de Sant Joan, one of the most emblematic points of the Greenway of Terra Alta and Val de Zafán.
We will be welcomed by an expert monitor in mechanics, safety and tourism, who will give us our bikes and helmets, and will explain everything we need to enjoy the route, including the complementary activities that can be done along the way. The greenway runs along the old railway line that used to link Alcañiz and Tortosa, and we will cycle the section between Horta de Sant Joan and Benifallet.
We will cycle without difficulty, as the route is gently downhill, following the existing signposting . We will find ourselves immersed in the peace and quiet of a beautiful natural environment, but it will also be particularly exciting to go through the numerous tunnels with our torches as the only source of light.
From the greenway we will be able to see the profile of the mountain of Santa Barbara and the convent of San Salvador. We will also pass through the villages of Bot and Prat de Comte, the Fontacalda Sanctuary and Pinell de Brai. Our arrival point will be the old Benifallet railway station.
It will take about 2.5 hours to cover the section.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone.
The organisation has pushchairs and buggies for small children. In case of needing this type of material, it will be necessary to communicate it previously.
It is not necessary to be a great cyclist, as the route is very easy.
Other information
The route is available all year round and will be confirmed if a group of at least 6 people is created.
Free parking is available at the starting point . At the end of the activity, a transfer service will take you back to the starting point.
Participants will follow the route in autonomy, following the signs along the whole route.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
