Feeling stressed? A few glasses of good wine and a platter of cured meats can cure almost anything.
Enjoy a 1-hour-and-20-minute wine tourism experience at a historic winery right in the heart of Vilafranca del Penedès. Accompanied by an expert from the winery, you’ll explore a unique Modernist building, visit the barrel room and descend into the Cava Marrugat to discover how their cavas mature in absolute tranquillity. The tour culminates in a tasting of their finest wines and cavas, served in Riedel glasses and paired with local cold cuts and cheeses.
What we will do
We’ll meet at the agreed time at the entrance to Bodegas Pinord, right in the centre of Vilafranca del Penedès. There, we’ll be met by a host from the winery, who’ll offer a warm welcome to break the ice and set the scene for us, explaining the more than 150 years of tradition and the family legacy that have shaped this historic winery.
We’ll begin the tour by strolling through the rooms of this unique Modernist building, discovering how a century and a half of craftsmanship goes hand in hand with modern winemaking techniques. We’ll first step into the barrel room, letting ourselves be enveloped by the aroma of oak and aged wine, before descending into the cool underground depths of Cava Marrugat: a place where thousands of bottles rest in utter tranquillity whilst we discover how time and meticulous care bring each bubble to life.
To round off the experience in style, we’ll settle into the tasting area for the pairing session. We’ll savour a carefully curated selection of their finest wines and cavas, served in Riedel glasses to appreciate every nuance, with each glass accompanied by a platter of local cold cuts and cheeses.
Amidst toasts, laughter and shared anecdotes, glass in hand, we’ll bid farewell with our palates satisfied after an experience lasting 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone. No prior knowledge of wine tasting is required, as the explanations are tailored to suit all participants.
The wine tasting is for adults only: children will be served grape must, juice or soft drinks. Children aged 0 to 6 participate free of charge.
The winery is not accessible to wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility.

The activity is available every day of the year, with sessions at 10. 00, 12. 00 and 16. 00.
It is a group tour, with a minimum of 2 participants and a maximum of 25.
The winery offers free parking and enjoys an unbeatable location in the town centre, just a 5-minute walk from the train station.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
