If you think all white wines taste the same, it’s because you haven’t yet tried an authentic Manzanilla under the arches of a century-old winery.
Enjoy a guided tour lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes through an iconic winery in Sanlúcar de Barrameda. Accompanied by one of the winery’s experts, you’ll wander through its historic cellars amongst rows of century-old barrels, visit the unique Manzanilla Museum housed in a traditional Andalusian house, and discover the legacy of a family that has been dedicated to wine for generations. To round off the experience, you’ll take part in a guided tasting of three wines representative of the winery.
What we will do
We’ll meet 10 minutes early at the meeting point at the entrance to Bodegas Barbadillo in Sanlúcar de Barrameda. There, we’ll be met by a member of the winery team, who’ll give us a warm welcome and provide some background on the history of the Barbadillo family and their winemaking heritage in the region.
We will then explore the winery’s century-old facilities. We’ll stroll leisurely amongst rows of barrels whilst the characteristic aroma of oak and aged wine envelops us, learning how biological ageing and Sanlúcar’s microclimate shape a product with such distinct character and cultural identity.
During the tour, we’ll visit the Manzanilla Museum, a unique venue in the world housed in a traditional Andalusian courtyard house. There, we’ll pause to learn about each stage of the winemaking process and understand why this wine has become a true symbol of the south.
To round off the day in the best possible way, we’ll settle in to enjoy a tasting of three selected house wines, discussing their notes and nuances. After satisfying our curiosity and sharing a relaxed toast, we’ll bring the tour to a close after approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for all ages. No previous wine-tasting experience is required.
Children aged 0 to 12 enter free of charge. From the age of 13, the standard admission fee applies. The wine tasting is restricted to those aged 18 and over.
All minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The tour is accessible to wheelchair users and those with reduced mobility (please give advance notice so that we can arrange access accordingly) .
Pets are not permitted.

It is a shared experience , and the activity is confirmed with a minimum of 6 participants and a maximum of 30.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
