Full description
The most exhilarating way to explore the Alto Tajo Natural Park.
Paddle down white-water rapids in a kayak, tackling level 2 and 3 rapids. A perfect stretch for daring beginners or for honing your technique, whilst enjoying incredible scenery and turquoise waters.
Get ready for a pure adrenaline rush.
What we will do
We’ll meet the guides on time at the meeting point in Poveda de la Sierra. There, we’ll be able to organise car transfers to link the embarkation point with the end of the descent.
With the logistics sorted, we’ll attend a safety and technique briefing that will answer all our questions before we get into the water to take our first paddle stroke. After kitting out with our individual equipment and getting our first taste of the water, we’ll immediately begin the descent down the most thrilling stretch of the Upper Tagus.
We’ll tackle Class 2 and 3 rapids in our self-bailing double kayaks. Flanked by the canyons of the Alto Tajo Natural Park, we’ll alternate between action-packed stretches and calmer sections, allowing us to enjoy the turquoise waters and the local vegetation.
The guides will accompany us at all times, marking out the route and teaching us how to handle the kayak at every stage, until we complete a river journey lasting between 2 and 3 hours.
The activity will last a total of between 3 and 4 hours.
