Walk with alpacas among olive trees and lunch at farm in Montoro

In this experience of approximately 4 hours between olive trees and mountains, you will discover the most tender and funny side of the Andalusian countryside. You will walk with the 5 most charismatic alpacas of Montoro, you will follow their calm rhythm, and between photos, you will try not to laugh when they decide to improvise their floral snack.

And as every good walk deserves its reward, the day ends at the farm with a homemade lunch made with local products.

What we will do

We will meet in Montoro, Córdoba, where we will be welcomed by the hosts of the farm. Between centenary olive trees and mountains in the background, they will tell us the history of the place and introduce us to all its inhabitants: the 5 alpacas Pedro, Eduardo, Bernardo, Prada and Valentino, the donkeys Phibee and Esperanza, and the goats Murphy, Blanca, Dragon and Kebab.

We will take a walk around the farm to get to know the surroundings, the olive groves and the swimming pool, while the sound of the birds and the smell of the earth accompany us. Then, we will approach the field where the alpacas live to put them on a leash and accompany them at their own pace along the rural paths that wind through the olive groves. During the approximately 1 hour walk, we will make several stops so that the alpacas can graze, indulge in some floral treats and take photos at a leisurely pace. Of course, they set the pace here: sometimes they stop to nibble on a flower, sometimes they sit in the middle of the path like true country divas. .. and we can only play along with a smile on our faces.

When we return to the farm, we feed them hay and enjoy some quiet time before lunch. Lunch is served outdoors, by the pool or in the picnic area, with a menu made from local produce and vegetarian options. The little ones can also have fun painting with materials from the farm, and if the weather is nice, you can spend the afternoon relaxing or take a dip in the pool to end the day as serenely as it began.

The experience lasts approximately 4 hours, although times may vary depending on our pace. It is a flexible and customisable activity: we can spend less time or even stay a little longer enjoying the place.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable for everyone with no age limit; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

The route is not accessible for wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility, as the terrain is uneven.

The experience is available all year round.

The farm has 5 alpacas. The maximum number of participants per excursion is 10. Individual participants will drive one alpaca each; couple participants will drive one alpaca between two.

Free parking is available on the farm. Public transport is not available, but there is an optional pick-up service from the centre of Montoro (about 20 minutes) for 15 € each way. To book this service, you will find the contact details of the organisers in the booking confirmation email.

Pets are allowed on a leash only.
