Discover Salamanca from a bird's eye view and make its history come alive beneath your feet.
This one-hour hot air balloon flight is an opportunity to fly over the most emblematic monuments of the city. From the air, you will be able to admire the 2 imposing cathedrals, the Plaza Mayor or the historic University of Salamanca. The Roman bridge or the Orchard of Calixto and Melibea will complete this dream view.
The air currents will decide the landing point. A toast and a picnic with local products will put the finishing touch.
What we will do
The appointment will be at the take-off field, located in Adolfo Suárez street in Salamanca, about 15 minutes before dawn.
With the first light of dawn, we will witness the majestic process of inflating the balloon. We will then board the balloon and the pilot will give us a brief safety briefing before taking off gently over Salamanca.
It will be a pleasant flight of approximately one hour that will allow us to enjoy incomparable views of the city and its surroundings, flying over monuments such as the Torre del Clavero or the Huerto de Calixto y Melibea. Our itinerary will also include the historic University of Salamanca, the Plaza Mayor and the Tormes River. The air currents will transport us, capriciously, to different heights, while we are surprised by the beauty of the landscape from a bird's eye view.
The experience will culminate with a soft landing, followed by a toast with sparkling wine and a delicious picnic with local products. Afterwards, the organisers will accompany you back to the starting point.
The total duration of the activity will be about 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
Ballooning is a very peaceful activity in which anyone from the age of 6 can take part .
For safety reasons, pregnant women and people with osteoporosis are not allowed to take part.
Children must always be accompanied by an adult.
There are places for wheelchair users, but advance notice is required.
People weighing more than 140 kg must inform the organiser in advance.
Other information
The activity takes place on the last weekend of each month, both Saturday and Sunday, all year round. It will be confirmed if a minimum number of 8 participants is reached.
A few days before the flight, the organiser will send you an email with all the necessary information. In addition, you will be able to communicate the presence of people with mobility problems and any food intolerances or allergies.
Free parking is available near the take-off point.
A small rucksack or bag can be carried, but large rucksacks will need to be left in the organiser's car.
After the flight, the organiser will send a flight certificate for each participant and the video and photos of the experience to the booking email. It will also be possible to use phones or cameras during the flight.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
