Take a hot air balloon ride to enjoy unparalleled views of one of the most impressive places in the Catalan Pre-Pyrenees .
The air currents will transport you gently over the lakes and mountains of the area, reaching an altitude of 2,500 metres. You will be able to see from lakes and marshes to 300-metre high walls in the surroundings of Geoparc Orígens. The panoramic views of some of the villages such as Sant Llorenç de Montgai or Les Avellanes will surprise you.
The majestic inflation of the balloon, the impressive natural landscapes or the soft landing with a final toast. It will be difficult to choose your favourite moment of this unique experience.
What we will do
We will meet the pilot shortly after sunrise at the take-off site near the village of Camarasa. To begin with, we will be able to attend the inflation phase: in just 10 minutes, the balloon will rise imposingly in front of us.
The pilot will then show us how to board the balloon. Once inside the basket, we will receive detailed information about the exciting flight experience that awaits us, paying special attention to safety regulations.
The balloon will rise gently and the air currents will guide the direction of travel. And so we will move at the mercy of the wind between the lakes and mountains of the Pre-Pyrenees, reaching an altitude of up to 2,500 metres and enjoying spectacular views of the surroundings of the Geoparc Orígens. We will see wonders such as the Camarasa reservoir or the 300-metre high walls that are characteristic of the area. We will also be able to see genuine villages such as Sant Llorenç de Montgai, Les Avellanes or Cubells.
We will land after approximately one hour of flight and we will be able to celebrate our adventure with a glass of Catalan cava . We will also receive a backpack with biscuits, fruit juice and water, and the pilot will give us our flight certificate before accompanying us in a 4x4 back to the take-off point.
In total, the experience will last about 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
Ballooning is a quiet activity that is suitable for children from the age of 5 years and upwards.
Pregnant women are not allowed to fly for safety reasons. Likewise, the organisers will refuse boarding to people under the influence of alcohol or other narcotic substances.
The flight is accessible to persons with reduced mobility. It will be necessary to inform the organiser in advance if assistance and/or a hydraulic chair is required to access the basket.
Other information
The activity will be confirmed if a minimum number of 6 participants is reached. It is possible to fly in the area all year round, weather conditions permitting.
The organiser will send you an email with the exact time and place for the start of the activity 2 days before the flight. After confirmation, you will be able to inform the pilot of the presence of people with reduced mobility, as well as any food intolerance or allergy.
Free parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the take-off point.
The basket will have a capacity of between 8 and 16 people and it will not be possible to bring food and/or alcoholic beverages. It is possible to travel with dogs, but this must be communicated in advance so that the well-being of the other participants and the animal itself can be guaranteed.
It will be possible to use telephones or cameras during the flight. In addition, the organiser will send a link to the booking email with photos taken during the experience.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
