What we will do

We will meet at the agreed time in Quintana Martín Galíndez, in the beautiful region of Las Merindades, ready to start a morning full of emotions. Depending on the wind, we will take off from that same spot or we will travel by 4x4 to the ideal area to start the flight.

Once in the take-off area, we will witness how the balloon is assembled and inflated, a process that lasts between 45 minutes and an hour. It is a very special moment, when everything starts to come to life and we begin to feel the excitement of what is to come. During this time, the pilot will explain all the details of the flight and give us safety instructions.

When everything is ready, we will climb into the basket and begin to rise gently. We will fly over the region of Las Merindades, the Tobalina Valley and Frías, surrounded by untouched nature and, with a bit of luck, we will see roe deer, wild boars, foxes, hares and other wild animals. We will reach an altitude of over 1,000 metres (depending on the weather) and for 1 hour we will enjoy a unique experience.

Once on the ground, and when the pilot indicates that it is safe to get out of the basket, we will celebrate the experience with a toast with champagne, laughter and surely some "we have to do it again! Then we will return to the starting point to enjoy a typical lunch with potato omelette, coffee and something cool to drink... and there we will also receive our flight certificate, to take home one more souvenir of this adventure through the heights.

In total it will be about 4 hours of fun, nature, new emotions and a different plan that you will remember (and tell about) for a long time.

Who it is aimed at

Ballooning is a quiet activity in which anyone from 6 years of age can participate. No previous experience or specific preparation is required.

Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The minimum recommended height for children is 1.20 m, so that they can look out of the basket and not miss anything.

For safety reasons, pregnant women, people in wheelchairs, people with recent operations or serious back or spinal problems are not allowed to participate.

People with reduced mobility, who need minimal assistance can participate, but must contact the organisers in advance. You will receive the contact information in the booking confirmation email.

Other information

The activity takes place from March to October, on Saturday and Sunday mornings, and will be confirmed with a minimum of 6 participants.

A few days before the flight, the organiser will contact you to give you all the necessary information. In addition, you will be able to communicate the presence of people with reduced mobility and any food intolerance or allergy.

The balloon rises to approximately 1,150 metres above sea level, although the exact height may vary depending on weather conditions.

It is advisable to wear closed, waterproof footwear, or bring a spare (sometimes landing in dewy fields).

Free parking is available at the meeting point.

The meeting point is not accessible by public transport.

Pets are not allowed on the flight.

No flammable objects are allowed on board.

The organisers reserve the right to refuse access to persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
