Savour the Penedès in sips and bites.
Discover how cava is born with a visit to the Rovellats family winery in Sant Martí Sarroca: you'll see the 15th-century farmhouse and go down into the cellar, where the bottles rest 12 metres underground.
Complete the experience with a tasting of 3 cavas and a film-like ending: a delicious brunch in the modernist garden.
What we will do
Our experience will begin in the modernist garden of this winery located in Sant Martí Sarroca, in the province of Barcelona. There we will be welcomed by the sommelier who will guide us through the visit and the tasting.
We will visit two historic buildings: the 15th century farmhouse and the family chapel. If we wish, we can also visit the vineyards to experience the process from the vine to the bottle, as this will be the moment to learn about the history of this 100% family winery and its link with the world of cava and wine in the Penedès.
Afterwards, we will go down to the cellar located 12 metres underground. As you delve into the process of making the wines and sparkling wines, you will be amazed by the beauty of a cellar that is unique in the world for its structure in the shape of a six-pointed star with a central rotunda, where the bottles rest during the ageing process.
On our return to the surface, we will taste 3 of the winery's cavas :
- Reserva Imperial Rosé Brut
- Reserva Imperial Brut
- Gran Reserva Original Brut Nature
The sommelier will help us to identify aromas, nuances and differences between each reference. To make the enogastronomic experience complete, we will enjoy a full brunch served in the garden: typical products and, of course, a bottle of cava to accompany it.
The activity will last approximately 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The visit is suitable for all audiences and admission is free for children up to 3 years of age.
Children under the age of 4 and pregnant women can take the tour without tasting and will receive water and soft drinks with the brunch.
The building is not fully accessible, so it is advisable to contact the winery if there are participants with mobility disabilities. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
Other information
The experience is available all year round and is confirmed when a minimum of 2 adults is reached.
The brunch will include: traditional cheese and cold meats, bread with olive oil and tomato, potato omelette, chips, olives, seasonal fruit, a sweet dessert and a bottle of house wine or cava. It can be served both before and after the visit.

The activity is pet-friendly, so you can take your dog with you as long as it is kept on a leash at all times.
There is free parking on the estate for guests. It is not possible to reach the area by public transport; the nearest station is 5 km away.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
