Visit to a winery with tasting and tapas in the Sierra de Gredos near Madrid

Between barrels, history and glasses, immerse yourself in a winery with centuries of history and local flavour.

Enjoy a 1 hour and a half experience in Cadalso de los Vidrios, in the heart of the Sierra de Gredos, where you will visit a winery with a centuries-old tradition, learn about the winemaking process and end up enjoying a tasting of local wines accompanied by tapas with local products.

What we will do

We will meet at the agreed time at the meeting point at the winery in Cadalso de los Vidrios, in the heart of the Sierra de Gredos, where the team will welcome us to begin the experience. This winery, founded in the mid-20th century, preserves the winemaking tradition of a village with a Roman and medieval history; a legacy where wine and glass have walked together for centuries under the watchful eye of the Peña Muñana.

We will start with a guided tour of the facilities, going step by step through the entire winemaking process. We will see the area where the grapes are received, the fermentation areas, the concrete tanks, the barrel room - where the smell of wood and wine envelops everything - and the bottling area. As we walk through these spaces, we will be told the history of the winery and the wines of the area, with details that will help us to understand why the wine here has such a special character.

After the visit, it will be time to enjoy a tasting of D. O. Vinos de Madrid wines. We will be served an artisan vermouth, a white wine and a red wine characteristic of the Sierra de Gredos, known for its brightness and vibrant body. The experience is rounded off with tapas of local products such as cheese, cold meat or chorizo, depending on the day. A relaxed moment, perfect for discussing sensations, toasting and letting the wine speak for itself.

Finally, we will make a short stop at the winery shop, where we can browse and, if we feel like it, take a bottle or a local product as a souvenir. In total, we will spend approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes amidst history, flavours and that peaceful atmosphere that can only be found in a winery with so much tradition.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for all ages. There is no minimum age to participate.

Minors and pregnant women will not take part in the tasting; instead, they will enjoy a refreshment with the aperitif. Please let the organisers know in advance. You will find the contact details in the booking confirmation email.

In terms of accessibility, the facilities are fully suitable for wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility.

The activity is available from November to July. It usually takes place on Saturdays at 12: 00h.

Free parking is available at the winery.

It is not recommended to arrive at the meeting point by public transport.

The visit is confirmed with a minimum of 10 participants and a maximum of 40.

The local tapas include local products. If you have any food intolerance, please letthe organisers know in advanceso that they can offer you alternatives.
