Discover with this visit to Bodegas Gratias a family project of ethical wines in La Manchuela. This winery in Casas-Ibáñez invites you to experience the territory through wine production, recovering native varieties, old vines and traditional ageing methods.
A tasting of 5 wines with their pairing will allow you to understand the philosophy of this initiative and their gratitude towards the land and all the people who support them in their journey.
What we will do
One of the owners of Bodegas Gratias will welcome us punctually to guide us on a tour of their facilities in Casas-Ibáñez.
Weather permitting, we will start outside, with the first glass of wine in hand. He will tell us about the peculiarities of the Manchuela region, its climate, its soils and the birth of this family project of ethical wines.
Afterwards, we will go inside the winery to follow, step by step, all the stages of winemaking. We will have a close look at a small winery with its tanks, vats and barrels. It will be the moment to talk about local varieties such as bobal and tardana, the recovery of old vines and the difference between wines aged in barrels and those made in vats, always with an eye on the territory.
The second part of the experience will be a tasting of 4 other wines, so that we can understand the project through the palate. We will be seated inside the winery itself, surrounded by barrels and casks. The wines will vary according to the season and availability, combining whites, rosés and reds from the two main ranges of the winery: one focused on local wines and the other on the recovery of blended plots through the initiative "And who are you from?
Through each wine we will discover the personality of the territory and the house style, accompanying the tasting with a pairing that will enhance aromas and flavours: almonds, anchovies or bread with oil?
The total duration of the experience will be about 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone and families are welcome.
Children between the ages of 5 and 17 can enjoy a soft drink and a tapa during the tasting with food and wine pairing. Up to the age of 4 or if they do not want a drink, participation is free of charge.
Pregnant women can take part in the tasting without drinking the wine or ask for a non-alcoholic drink.
The winery is wheelchair accessible.

The visit takes place all year round, from Monday to Saturday at 11: 00.
Both the wines and their pairing change according to the season and availability in the winery.
All the wines are organic, sustainable and suitable for vegans and vegetarians; they are made without additives or chemicals and respecting the natural cycle of the land.
If you have allergies, intolerances or other dietary requirements, please contact the winery 48 hours in advance so that they can adapt the pairing products. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
Pets are not allowed on the premises. Outside there is a small garden where dogs may be kept (on a leash or with a companion who is not visiting) .
Free parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the winery. It is not possible to reach the area by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
