Don't you believe it? This visit to Oleo Almanzora, in Pulpí, proves it. Visit the facilities and one of its farms in a 2-hour experience: learn about the super-intensive cultivation of the olive grove, its early harvest, the extraction process and the commercial classification of the oil.
To finish, experience pairing a breakfast based on local products with 2 single-varietal EVOOs and a range of 8 flavoured condiments. You'll love it!
What we will do
We will meet at the Oleo Almanzora shop in Pulpí about 10 minutes before the booked time. There we will be met by the expert guide who will accompany us to discover the liquid gold of Almeria.
From the premises, we will follow the guide's car in our private vehicles to one of the olive groves, located about 4 km away, to learn first-hand about the origin of the olives. There we will take a short walk among the olive trees, while the guide explains the keys to the super-intensive plantation system and how it differs from traditional systems.
On the way back to the olive mill, we will tour the facilities to understand the journey of the olives until they reach the bottling plant and our table. We will visit areas such as the cellar and the bottling plant, learning the complete process of production, filtering, preservation in the cellar and bottling, supported by explanatory panels. If it is harvest time (between the end of September and the beginning of October) , we will be lucky enough to see some of the stages, such as the harvester or the filter, live.
To finish, we will go to the tasting room, where we will enjoy a breakfast with local products including cold meats, Almerian honeys, pâtés, fruits, chocolate. .. After a brief explanation by the guide on how to pair each oil, we will have free time to experiment and taste at our leisure, discovering unique pairings of the 2 single-varietal AOVEs of arbequina and koroneiki and the range of 8 flavoured condiments.
The experience will last approximately 2 hours.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
