Full description
There are places that are explored through the palate.
Discover the secrets of the Marco de Jerez in a traditional winery in Chiclana de la Frontera: walk through an experimental vineyard, learn about the winemaking process and taste 4 wines accompanied by typical tapas.
And when you think it can't get any better, a tasting menu will close the experience. Forget about everything between barrels, homemade dishes and good wine.
What we will do
The guide will meet us 5 minutes before the reservation time at the winery located in Chiclana de la Frontera, Cádiz, in the heart of the Jerez-Xérèz-Sherry Denomination of Origin.
We will start with a walk through an experimental vineyard. The guide will explain us the particularities of the viticulture in the Marco de Jerez, characterized by the proximity of the Atlantic Ocean and the east and west winds. Afterwards, we will enter the winery through the winemaking area to discover the first stages of the process: destemming, pressing and fermentation.
We will also see the bottling area before moving on to the Fino solera and the oxidative ageing cellar. We will close the visit with a tasting of 4 of the winery's products, accompanied by typical local tapas based on cheese, spicy chorizo, chicharrón or butifarra sausage:
- Fino Granero, a delicate and light D. O. Jerez Xérèz-Sherry.
- Cream Arrumbaó, a D. O. Jerez Xérèz-Sherry with sweet and toasted notes.
- Moscatel Gloria, with floral and citrus notes.
- Artisan Vermouth, Gold Medal in the VinEspaña 2025 awards.
To conclude a rounded enogastronomic experience, we can enjoy a tasting menu: a variety of starters, a choice of main course, homemade dessert and coffee. All accompanied, of course, by a selection of Manuel Aragón wines.
The experience will have a total duration of approximately 4 hours, depending on the time dedicated to the meal.
