Visit to a winery and wine tasting with tapas in Chiclana de la Frontera

Discover the character of D. O. Jerez-Xérèz-Sherry wines with a visit to the Bodega Manuel Aragón, in Chiclana de la Frontera . With an expert guide you can visit an experimental vineyard and learn about the keys to production through the different stages, as well as the magic of biological ageing and the criaderas and soleras system.

To round off in style: a tasting of 4 house wines with typical Cádiz tapas. Two hours to savour Cádiz at leisure, glass in hand. Shall we toast?

What we will do

The guide will meet us 5 minutes before the booking time at the winery located in Chiclana de la Frontera, Cádiz, in the heart of the Jerez-Xérèz-Sherry Denomination of Origin.

We will start with a walk through a nearby experimental vineyard, where we will learn about the particularities of viticulture in the Marco de Jerez and the stages of cultivation. This will be the perfect opportunity for the guide to give a brief introduction to the area, marked by the proximity of the Atlantic, which brings salinity to the wines, and the easterly and westerly winds.

Afterwards, we will enter the winery through the winemaking area to discover the first stages of the process: destemming, pressing and fermentation. We will also see the bottling area from the outside and talk about the differences between the different types of wines produced here.

Next, we will learn about biological ageing and the system of criaderas and soleras: we will move on to the Fino wine solera and enter the oxidative ageing cellar to get to know wines such as Palo Cortado or Moscatel up close, understanding what makes them unique.

Then it will be time to toast and savour Cádiz calmly and in small sips. We will close the visit with a tasting of 4 products from the winery, accompanied by typical local tapas based on cheese, spicy chorizo, chicharrón and butifarra sausage:

• Fino Granero, a delicate and light D. O. Jerez Xérèz-Sherry.
• Cream Arrumbaó, a D. O. Jerez Xérèz-Sherry with sweet and toasted notes.
• Moscatel Gloria, with floral and citrus notes.
• Artisan Vermouth, Gold Medal in the VinEspaña 2025 awards.

The total duration of the experience will be approximately 2 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for all ages.

The visit is free for children up to 13 years of age and does not include drinks or tapas. From the age of 14 onwards, soft drinks and water will be served to accompany the tapas.

There will also be non-alcoholic drinks for pregnant women.

The winery facilities are 100% accessible for people with mobility disabilities or wheelchair users.

Other information

The experience is available all year round. In the event of bad weather, the entire activity will take place inside the winery.

The areas of the winery that will be visited are pet-friendly, so if you bring your dog it must be kept on a leash at all times.
