Discover all the secrets of the Jerez-Xérèz-Sherry D. O. with this visit to the Bodega Manuel Aragón. Led by an expert wine tourism guide , you will discover an experimental vineyard in Chiclana de la Frontera, learn about the criaderas and soleras system. .. and taste 5 premium wines, each one paired with a tapa designed to enhance their aromas and flavours.

What we will do
The guide will meet us 5 minutes before the reservation time at the winery located in Chiclana de la Frontera, Cádiz, in the heart of the Jerez-Xérèz-Sherry Denomination of Origin.
We will start with an introduction to the area, marked by the salinity that the proximity of the Atlantic Ocean and the easterly and westerly winds bring. While tasting a welcome drink, we will take a walk through an experimental vineyard, where we will learn about the particularities of viticulture in the Marco de Jerez and the stages of cultivation.
Afterwards, we will enter the winery through the winemaking area to discover the first stages of the process: destemming, pressing and fermentation. We will also see the bottling area from the outside, before moving on to the Fino wine solera and the oxidative ageing cellar.
We will learn about biological ageing and the system of criaderas and soleras, while tasting 5 premium D. O. Jerez-Xérèz-Sherry wines at the foot of the cask:
- Fino Granero en Rama, delicate and light.
- Amontillado Muy Viejo Manuel Aragón, elegant and powerful.
- Palo Cortado Muy Viejo Manuel Aragón, round, deep and voluminous.
- Oloroso Muy Viejo Manuel Aragón, a tasty and well-structured wine.
- Pedro Ximénez Muy Viejo Manuel Aragón, which is presented as a dessert in itself.
All of them wines with scores of up to 99 points in the Peñín and Robert Parker guides, the last two with the Bacchus Gold 2024 medal awarded by the Spanish Tasters Union. Each wine will be paired with a tapa that enhances aromas and flavours: natural mussels, ham, cheese, almonds or dark chocolate.
The total duration of the experience will be approximately 2 hours.

The activity is suitable for all ages.
The visit is free for children up to 13 years of age and does not include drinks or tapas. From the age of 14 onwards, soft drinks and water will be served to accompany the tapas.
There will also be non-alcoholic drinks for pregnant women.
The winery facilities are 100% accessible for people with mobility disabilities or wheelchair users.
Other information
The experience is available all year round. In the event of bad weather, the entire activity will take place inside the winery.
The areas of the winery that will be visited are pet-friendly, so if you bring your dog it must be kept on a leash at all times.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
