Full description
Some wines keep in every sip the earth, the rain and the air of the estuary.
Discover how wines with the purest Galician character are made at Adega Entre os Ríos, a small family winery in A Pobra do Caramiñal. Take a walk with the winemaker among the vines, learn about the history of the project and get a close-up look at the care that goes into production.
The visit will end in the tasting room, where you will taste 2 of their wines accompanied by a snack .
What we will do
The appointment will be at the winery located in A Pobra do Caramiñal, where we will be received punctually to begin the visit. We will be welcomed by the winemaker, who will introduce us to this small family winery belonging to the IXP Viños da Terra do Barbanza e Iria, specialised in albariño and a limited production of raposo or branco lexítimo grapes.
We will start with a short walk around the 3 hectare estate, where some of the vineyards are located. It will be the perfect opportunity to learn about the history of this family project that was born from a production for own consumption. If the weather is not good, we will adapt the visit with an umbrella or talking about the cultivation under the vine located at the entrance: we are not afraid of a little water, rain is part of the essence of Galicia.
Afterwards, we will enter the adega to discover the different references, the barrel area, and the vinification and ageing techniques they use. It will be the moment to understand how each wine is worked, from the grape to the bottle, in limited productions of between 15, 000 and 25, 000 bottles per year.
We will close the experience in the tasting room, with a tasting guided by the winemaker himself. With the first wine we will do a commented tasting, analysing aromas and flavours step by step; afterwards, we will be able to continue freely while enjoying a small snack with local products.
The wines, depending on availability, are usually: KomoKabras Verde, a vibrant albariño that does not go unnoticed, and Vulpes Vulpes, a lexítimo branco.
The experience will last approximately 1 hour, although the tasting time is very flexible.
Who it is aimed at
The visit is suitable for everyone.
To take part in the wine tasting you must be of legal age. Minors can pay a reduced fee which includes a free must or a soft drink with the tapas.
