Via Ferrata of Zuheros in the Bailon River Canyon

Throw yourself into a 3-hour adventure in the heart of the Bailón River Canyon, and become the protagonist of an epic ascent: overcome a thrilling 40-metre vertical wall, progress through solid clamps and enjoy spectacular views of the countryside under the supervision of certified guides. It's the perfect plan to break the routine, release adrenaline and discover that the authentic rhythm of the Subbética is best felt suspended on the rock.

What we will do

We will meet at the meeting point in Zuheros, about 15 minutes before the agreed time to begin preparations. There we will be welcomed and equipped with the safety equipment - harness, dissipators and helmet - while we learn the basic rules for moving along the wall with total confidence.

We will walk for just a few minutes until we reach the base of the route, where we will leave the solid ground behind to start the real action. This route is designed to enjoy pure progression on steep terrain, so we will advance with total safety following the life wire and metal clamps.

As we climb, the excitement will increase as we face the main course: two vertical sections, with an impressive 40-metre high wall. In this unique setting within the Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park, we will feel the adrenaline of height as we conquer the rock step by step until we reach the Mirador del Bailón, the highest point where the best panoramic views of the area await us.

From the top, we will stop to catch our breath and enjoy the spectacular views of the Bailon River Canyon and the Cordoba countryside. We will always be accompanied by certified guides who will teach us the best technique and motivate us to overcome each stretch at our own pace, ensuring that the experience is as safe as it is unforgettable.

The total duration of the adventure (including preparations) is about 3 hours. Once we have completed the route, we will return via a short and pleasant road trip that will take us back to the starting point.

Who it is aimed at

This adventure is suitable for adults and children from 7 years old.

It is an initiation level route (K2), so you don't need previous experience.

It is important to be in normal physical condition and, above all, not to have an excessive fear of heights.

For safety reasons, the activity is not suitable for pregnant women, people with recent serious injuries or those who suffer from severe vertigo.

Other information

The experience is available from July 15th to January 8th.

The trips are organised for groups with a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 15 (ratio of 1 instructor for every 4 or 5 participants) .

Free parking is available near the meeting point in Zuheros. It is recommended to go in your own vehicle, as public transport in the area is limited.

Pets are not allowed.
