Vertical paths among millenary ruins? In Villena, it's not only possible, it's part of the experience!
The via ferrata next to Salvatierra Castle combines emotion, nature and a historical legacy that you can feel at every step. Suspension bridges, clamps, lateral passages and abseiling await you on this route accessible to all ages, perfect for experiencing history... by climbing it.
What we will do
The appointment is at 8.30 am at the meeting point in Villena (Alicante), where the professional guide who will accompany us throughout the activity will be waiting for us.
After handing over the technical equipment and going over the safety rules, we will start with a short approach walk of about 40 minutes until we reach the start of the route, right at the foot of the old Salvatierra Castle. There, the guide will give us the last instructions... and the adventure will begin.
The via ferrata, with a low difficulty, is perfect for the first steps of initiation into this vertical world. During 3 hours of activity, we will overcome different obstacles: Tibetan bridges, monkey bridges, metal clamps, walkways, suspended scaffolding and even small sections of abseiling.
At every step, the views of the Vinalopó valley will accompany us, as well as the remains of the 10th century Islamic castle, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest.
At the end of the route, we will return to the meeting point. The total duration of the experience is about 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for children aged 6 and over. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult participant or have a signed authorisation.
The experience is not suitable for pregnant women, people with vertigo, people with heart disease and people with mobility problems.

The experience is available all year round and is confirmed when a minimum number of 3 participants is reached.
Free parking is available at the meeting point.
The number of guides will be adapted to the number of participants in order to carry out the activity in complete safety.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
