Full description
Adrenaline, height and fun guaranteed (even if your legs are a little shaky) .
In this via ferrata over the Hoz del Estrecho de Priego, a route between limestone walls, suspension bridges and footbridges awaits you. You will climb vertical walls, cross a 25-metre bridge at a height of 40 metres and enjoy enviable views over the river Escabas. Ideal if you are looking for new thrills.
Three hours of adventure in the heights to discover the Serranía de Cuenca from every angle. Are you up for it?
What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point in Priego, Cuenca, where we will have to arrive punctually. The mountain guide will be waiting for us there, who will give us the equipment and check that everything is in the right place before starting the activity.
After a very brief approach from the car park and a safety briefing, the adventure begins.
The first part of the route is vertical: a 20 metre wall equipped with clamps. Towards the end of the section we will come across an overhang which, although it can be impressive, we will overcome without difficulty (we will not be so easily intimidated). At the end of this more technical part (level K3), we will move to a panoramic area where we will be able to observe vultures and admire a landscape that is truly breathtaking.
Afterwards, we will continue with a side traverse (level K1), an easy section along footbridges hanging over the river Escabas, with spectacular views of the Hoz del Estrecho.
Along the route we will find five suspension bridges: three Tibetan and two Nepalese. Including one of 25 metres long suspended at a height of 40 metres: perhaps our legs will tremble a little, but it is the most exciting section of the ferrata and, without doubt, one of the most photogenic. At all times we will be secured to the lifeline, with well-marked escapes for those who prefer to avoid some sections.
The total duration of the activity will be about 3 hours, with 2 hours of actual travel on the ferrata.
