Via Ferrata Castillo de Hierro in Pruna

Enjoy a 3-hour adventure on the only via ferrata in the province of Seville! Become the protagonist of a direct and fun ascent: overcome vertical sections, master a small overhang, and crown the tower of the Castillo de Hierro under the supervision of certified guides. This is the ideal plan for families and beginners looking to release adrenaline and enjoy 360º views of the Terril peak and the Andalusian plain.

What we will do

We will meet at the meeting point in Pruna, about 15 minutes before the agreed time to begin preparations. There we will be welcomed and equipped with the safety equipment - harness, dissipators and helmet - while we learn the basic rules for moving along the wall with complete confidence.

After an approach of just 15 minutes, we will be at the foot of the Peña del Castillo. The route begins with vertical sections equipped with solid clamps that will allow us to gain height quickly and safely. Although it is a K2 level (initiation), there is a small drop that adds a touch of excitement and sparkle just before reaching the horizontal areas.

The best thing about this ferrata is its north orientation, which allows us to climb pleasantly even when the sun is shining. As we progress along the 134 metre route, we will see the landscape open up before us, offering us a spectacular view of the Terril peak, the highest point in Seville .

The crowning moment comes when you reach the ruins of the Castillo de Hierro (Iron Castle). Crossing the wall and looking out over its tower after having climbed up the wall is a unique historical reward. We will always be accompanied by professional guides who will ensure that we enjoy every step with complete confidence.

The activity lasts approximately 3 hours. After enjoying the 360º views from the castle and taking some photos, we will walk back down the return path in about 20 minutes. We will finish the experience with the feeling of having conquered a medieval fortress from its wildest side.

Who it is aimed at

This adventure is suitable for adults and children from the age of 14.

As it is an initiation level (K2), it is ideal for children and adults who are looking for a moderate physical challenge and a lot of fun.

It is important not to have an excessive fear of heights.

For safety reasons, the activity is not suitable for pregnant women, people with recent serious injuries or those who suffer from severe vertigo.

The experience is available from 1 July to 31 December.

The trips are organised for groups with a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 15 (ratio of 1 instructor for every 4 participants) .

Free parking is available near the meeting point in Pruna. It is recommended to go in your own vehicle, as public transport in the area is limited.

Pets are not allowed.
