Full description
There are plenty of ways to wake up in the morning, but flying 50 metres on a zip line over Castala Park beats even the strongest coffee hands down.
In Castala Peri-urban Park, at the foot of the Sierra de Gádor, a comprehensive via ferrata of , lasting a total of 3 hours, awaits you. You’ll cross suspension bridges, climb a cantilevered ladder, tackle aerial crossings and put your strength to the test on an optional K5 overhang. Accompanied at all times by a qualified mountain guide, you’ll experience the thrill of rock climbing in complete safety on an adventure suitable for those aged 12 and over, which includes a photo and video report to immortalise your achievement.
What we will do
We’ll meet 15 minutes before the scheduled time at the meeting point on the Castala Via Ferrata, in Berja, Almería. The guide will be waiting there to welcome us and provide us with all the safety equipment: helmet, harness with energy absorber, pulley and gloves. We’ll then have a 5-minute briefing to go over the basic techniques for anchoring and moving along the cable.
Let’s get started and head for the cliff! We’ll embark on an approximately 2-hour and 45-minute via ferrata route through the Castala Peri-urban Park. We’ll start by gradually gaining height, combining accessible vertical sections with horizontal traverses, whilst enjoying the unobstructed views towards the Sierra de Gádor.
As we gain height, the route will present us with some fun challenges: we’ll climb a striking staircase reaching up to the sky, cross a suspension bridge and the unique ‘hinge’, and we’ll whizz down two 50-metre zip lines that will make us feel as though we’re floating in the air (with alternative escape routes if we prefer not to take the ride) . The most daring participants will even have the option to test their strength on an optional K5-level roof section or try some abseiling.
After completing the aerial circuit and returning to the starting point, we’ll take off our gear and share the best stories from the day.
The activity will last a total of around 3 hours (including preparation) .
Who it is aimed at
This activity is suitable for those aged 12 and over (children must be accompanied by an adult) .
This activity is suitable for beginners and intermediate levels (difficulty K2–K3, with optional K5 sections for those seeking an extra challenge) . It is ideal for families, couples, groups of friends or solo participants.
This experience is not suitable for pregnant women, wheelchair users or participants with reduced mobility.
Pets are not permitted.

The activity takes place from October to May, running every day at 10. 30 am.
The activity can be booked for groups of between 1 and a maximum of 12 people.
The meeting point at Castala Peri-urban Park has free car parking. It is not possible to reach the meeting point by public transport, so you will need to travel in your own vehicle.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
