Via Ferrata of Archidona over the Sierra de Gracia in Malaga

Get ready for 3 hours of pure intensity in the Sierra de Gracia! It's not just a climb, it's a vertical journey where your hands on the rock will take you to the only preserved mosque in Malaga. Cross a 30-metre Tibetan bridge that will take your breath away, master the initial plunge, and lean into the void to see the Peñón de los Enamorados as no one has ever shown it to you. It's the perfect plan to release adrenaline from the hand of expert guides.

What we will do

We will meet at the meeting point in Archidona, about 15 minutes before the agreed time to begin preparations. There we will be welcomed and equipped with the safety equipment - harness, dissipators and helmet - while we learn the basic rules to move on the wall with total confidence and fluency.

We will walk for a few minutes to the north face of the Sierra de Gracia, where the adventure begins in earnest. The start will awaken us suddenly with a small drop that will test our energy and give us the adrenaline rush we need to leave the solid ground behind. We will advance along a route of some 268 metres in length, where the variety of steps will keep us active at all times.

As we gain height, the excitement will increase as we face the star moment: a Tibetan bridge of between 20 and 30 metres that joins two points of the mountain. Walking on the cables feeling the height is an incredible sensation that will get our adrenaline pumping, always with the peace of mind of being anchored to the life wire. In this wild scenery, we will progress through sections of clamps and traverse areas that will allow us to enjoy the environment without getting physically exhausted.

From the highest points, the views of the village of Archidona and the famous Peñón de los Enamorados are simply brutal. The route has a magical touch, as we finish the climb by reaching the Sanctuary of the Virgen de Gracia, located on top of an ancient Arab mosque. We will always be accompanied by certified guides who will teach us the best technique and motivate us to overcome each section at our own pace.

The total experience (including preparations and approach) lasts about 3 hours. After enjoying the historical reward at the top, we will walk back down the old walled enclosure for about 20 minutes. We will share the last laughs and anecdotes of the day before saying goodbye back at the meeting point.

Who it is aimed at

This adventure is suitable for ages 14 and up.

It is a K3 level route (medium/beginner), ideal for people in good physical condition . However, it is not necessary to have previous experience.

It is important not to have an excessive fear of heights.

For safety reasons, the activity is not suitable for pregnant women, people with recent serious injuries or those who suffer from severe vertigo.

The experience is available every day of the year.

Outings are organised for groups with a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 15 (ratio of 1 instructor for every 4 participants) .

Free parking is available at the meeting point. It is recommended to go in your own vehicle, as public transport in the area is limited.

Pets are not allowed.
