Get ready to travel back in time with the DOQ Priorat's most emblematic Cabernet Sauvignon.
Discover 5 vintages of Celler Pasanau 's Finca la Planeta wine in a guided tasting. Discover a historic plot in La Morera de Montsant with Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted in 1984 at an altitude of 740 metres above sea level.
Step into the essence of the Priorat.
What we will do
We will meet on time at Celler Pasanau, located in La Morera del Montsant, Tarragona. There we will be welcomed by a wine tourism guide who will lead us on a vertical tasting to discover Finca La Planeta, a Cabernet Sauvignon DOQ Priorat.
From there we will head to the emblematic La Planeta estate, a 2. 3 hectare plot on a south-facing embankment. We will take a 10-minute walk among its vines planted in 1984 to understand how the calcareous gravel soils and the altitude of 740 metres sculpts the character of this wine, the winery's most emblematic.
The central part of the experience will be a vertical tasting of 5 different vintages of this historic Cabernet Sauvignon. If the weather is fine, we will enjoy the tasting in the open air on the estate itself, with views of the Sierra Mayor de Montsant; if not, we will move inside the winery.
During the tasting, the guide will explain the evolution of each vintage, reviewing the history of this wine that has captivated international critics: from being ranked 58th in the world according to Wine Spectator to its gold medal in the Decanter 2024 awards . We will understand how the thermal contrast and the winds of Priorat translate into each of the glasses we will taste.
The experience will last approximately 1 hour and a half.
Who it is aimed at
The visit focuses on a vertical wine tasting, so it is designed for adults.
People with reduced mobility or in wheelchairs can access the winery, but they cannot participate in the visit to the estate.
Other information
The visit is available all year round, except during the first two weeks of August and from 24 December to 1 January. The experience is confirmed when a minimum group of 2 people is reached.
In case of rain, it will be decided together with the client whether to visit the estate or just do the tasting inside the winery.
Pets are allowed on the estate if they are kept on a leash, but not inside the winery.
Accompanying persons not participating in the experience may wait in the village or in the viewpoint area.
Free public parking is available in the vicinity of the winery. It is possible to reach the village by bus, the nearest bus stop is a 5-minute walk from the winery.

The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions.
