Get ready to test your skills on the high seas.
Enjoy a thrilling tuna sport fishing experience on the Costa Dorada. Set sail from Cambrils and venture out to sea with an expert skipper to master spinning and trolling techniques and try your hand at catching the finest specimens.
Ready to take on an unforgettable challenge?
What we will do
We’ll meet at Cambrils harbour 15 minutes before the start time so we can board without delay. The captain, an expert angler, will be waiting for us there with all the technical equipment ready.
We’ll then cast off and sail between 20 and 25 miles out to sea towards a strategic spot chosen by the captain. Once we reach the perfect spot for catching tuna, and depending on the appropriate technique and fishing method, we’ll either drop anchor or drift.
We’ll learn and practise spinning and trolling techniques, preparing for the thrilling battle with fish that can weigh anywhere from 40 to 400 kg. In accordance with conservation regulations, we’ll carefully release the majestic bluefin tuna after catching them, although we may keep other species such as skipjack or bonito.
At the end of the session, we’ll sail back to the quay, sharing stories of the catches we’ve made. We’ll say our goodbyes at the starting point after 5 hours of pure adventure on the high seas.
Who it is aimed at
No experience is necessary, and it’s a great way to get started with recreational fishing.
Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. From the age of 12, they may take part on their own with the authorisation of a legal guardian.
It is not possible to board the boat in a wheelchair. However, the activity is accessible to people with mild mobility issues who are able to look after themselves.
Other information
The experience is available all year round.
The activity can be enjoyed on two different boats:
- The Llobarrete is a 6-metre-long boat, used exclusively for fishing trips. It can carry up to 6 people.
- The Llobarrete II is a 10-metre-long Rodman 140. It has a total capacity of 12 people and is fully equipped for both sport fishing and sightseeing trips.
All trips include one drink, and you can buy more on board at reasonable prices. Morning trips include a small tuna sandwich. You are also welcome to bring your own food if you have any allergies, intolerances or special dietary requirements.
We advise against bringing dogs on board.
Accompanying guests who are not taking part in the activity will find various facilities at the harbour.
There is paid parking near the meeting point ; the nearest free parking spaces are at least a 10-minute walk away. It is also possible to reach the area by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
