Trekking and paragliding flight over the Peña Montañesa in Aínsa

Climb a mountain and then jump off it? Exactly.

Combine a 2 to 3 hour trekking route with a paragliding flight of up to 40 minutes over the majestic Peña Montañesa, in Aínsa. Walk, climb and take off from one of the most spectacular points in the Pyrenees, with views of the Cinca valley, Monte Perdido and the Cotiella massif.

A total experience of 4 to 5 hours between nature, altitude and pure emotion.

What we will do

We will meet at the car park of the birds of prey viewpoint, in the village of Torrelisa, at the foot of the Peña Montañesa, where our guide will welcome us and explain how the day will develop. From there we will make a short transfer by car to the starting point of the trekking.

The adventure begins with a mountain route of about 2 to 3 hours and 800 metres of altitude difference, a demanding but accessible hike. We will ascend through trails, forests and meadows with increasingly impressive views until we reach the take-off area at an altitude of about 2, 000 metres.

There we will rest, have something to eat and the pilots will give us basic flight and safety instructions. After preparing the equipment, a few steps running down the slope will be enough to leave the ground behind. .. and fly over the queen of Sobrarbe!

The paragliding flight will last from 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the wind conditions. During this aerial tour we will enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the Peña Montañesa and the Cinca valley, with the possibility of seeing vultures, eagles and other birds that inhabit the rocky walls. On clear days we can even make out Monte Perdido, the Cotiella massif and the Sierra Ferrera, all from a perspective impossible from the ground. If the conditions allow it, we can even briefly take the controls of the paraglider, always under the supervision of the pilot.

Finally, we will land gently in the meadows at the foot of the Peña Montañesa, where the day began. There we will close the adventure with a smile on our faces and a thousand stories to tell.

In total, the experience lasts between 4 and 5 hours, depending on the pace of the walk and the wind conditions for flying.

Who it is aimed at

This experience is designed for mountain and adventure lovers. No previous paragliding experience is required, but you do need to have a moderately active lifestyle.

It is not recommended for pregnant women, people with reduced mobility or wheelchair users.

The minimum age is 12 years (or 35 kg minimum weight) , and minors must be accompanied by an adult or have a signed authorisation.

The maximum weight allowed to fly is 120 kg.

The activity takes place from April to October (inclusive) , every day of the week.

The total duration of the experience is 4 to 5 hours, depending on the rate of ascent and wind conditions.

The flight includes video and photos, which you will receive within 24 hours.

Parking is available at the meeting point.

Pets are not allowed.
