Can you imagine combining a 4×4 route with the unique experience of walking inside a volcano?
Explore Playa Quemada, Puerto Calero and the volcanic interior of Lanzarote on a private tour between sea, lava and formations from another planet, culminating with a simple trek inside a Timanfaya crater.
A 5 hour experience full of emotion, history and landscapes that seem out of this world.
What we will do
You will meet your guide 10 minutes before the agreed time at the meeting point in Playa Blanca, where the 4×4 vehicle with which the adventure will begin will be waiting for you. After a brief welcome, you will start the tour ascending towards the interior of the island, leaving the coast behind to enter a landscape marked by lava and the ocean.
The route will first take you through the area of Playa Quemada, a quiet coastal village of fishing origin, before continuing on to Puerto Calero, where the contrast between the sea, the volcanic cliffs and the port activity creates a landscape that is very characteristic of the south of Lanzarote. Along the way, the guide will tell you about the history of the island's first settlers and how they knew how to adapt to this extreme environment.
You will continue to Las Grietas, an impressive volcanic formation with narrow walls and reddish tones, perfect for understanding the force of the eruptions that shaped Lanzarote. From here, the route enters the surroundings of the Timanfaya National Park, where you will experience one of the most special moments of the experience.
In this area you will do a short trekking, very simple and linear, to go into the interior of a volcanic cone formed during the last historical eruptions of Timanfaya. Walking through the crater will allow you to feel the energy of the volcano up close and understand how this unique landscape came into being.
After completing the tour, you will return to the starting point after a private, intense and fully customisable experience that combines 4×4, coast, volcanoes and living history of Lanzarote.

The experience is suitable for all ages. Ideal for couples, families or small groups of up to 6 participants per vehicle.
Minors must always be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Suitable for people with reduced mobility and wheelchair users, as no strenuous walking is required. Prior notice must be given to the organisers. You will receive the contact details in your booking confirmation email.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
