Why choose between sea or mountain if your group can have it all in one morning?
Climb into an exclusive off-road vehicle to conquer the 1, 000m altitude of Sierra Cabrera and finish with a toast in front of the Mediterranean. For 2 hours, your private expedition for up to 4 people will take you from ancient gold mines to secluded coves, savouring the local gastronomy on a route designed just for you.
What we will do
You will be met at the meeting point 15 minutes before the agreed time in the port of Carboneras, Almeria. Your guide will be waiting for you there, who will put you in explorer mode while telling you what to expect and clearing up any doubts you may have before starting this private adventure through the most untamed corner of the peninsula.
You will start your 4x4 adventure by entering the Sierra Cabrera, the youngest volcanic formation on the peninsula. You will cross wadis and dry rivers, surrounded by slate mountains of extraordinary colours, until you reach points with 360º panoramic views at an altitude of almost 1, 000 metres. Along the way, you will discover the remains of an old gold mine and a natural spring that supplied an old water mill.
Descend along the Granatilla watercourse towards the sea, passing through Sopalmo, a charming neighbourhood of Mojácar with its small chapel and natural springs. Along the way, keep an eye out for the local fauna, where it is easy to spot mountain goats, partridges or the protected black-headed turtle among the vegetation of esparto grass and wild olive trees.
You will arrive at the Sopalmo beach, a peaceful spot where you can enjoy a swim in its crystal clear waters. On the way back to Carboneras, you will border the coast to contemplate the beauty of the Lance beach and the famous Algarrobico beach, stopping at strategic viewpoints to capture the essence of this coastal paradise.
The route will end back at the starting point after enjoying a tasting of local gastronomy and a refreshing drink. In total, it will be about 2 hours of pure exploration and unforgettable contrasts in a private expedition between the steepest mountain and the Mediterranean Sea.

If you have reduced mobility, you can participate as the activity is adapted, but it will be necessary to inform the organisers in advance. You will receive the contact details in the email confirming your booking.

The route is done in a 4x4 vehicle (Toyota Land Cruiser) always driven by the guide.
If you come with small children, remember to bring your own approved child seat, as the organiser does not have them.
Free parking is available on site. Access by public transport to the meeting point is not recommended.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
