The Tajo de Ronda is always impressive, but the views from its via ferrata will thrill you.
Become the protagonist of Ronda's most famous postcard with this initiation via ferrata. During 3 hours, you will conquer the vertical walls overcoming ascents with clamps, zig-zag sections and the exciting "Escalerilla de la muerte" with privileged views of the Puente Nuevo.
You won't regret changing your perspective with this adventure in the heights .
What we will do
The guide will meet us at the meeting point in Ronda, Malaga, about 15 minutes before the booking time. Once equipped, we will head to the base of the imposing gorge to begin the adventure.
We will start the progression with the Via Ferrata I, a 74-metre route ideal for getting in touch with the rock. We will ascend along a section equipped with clamps and we will make a lateral flank before reaching the top of the 56-metre drop with privileged views of the New Bridge.
Next, we will face the Via Ferrata II, which raises the stakes with a zigzagging route and steps that require more attention. We will overcome lateral flanks and feel the adrenaline rush on the famous Escalerilla de la Muerte, the most vertical point of the whole experience.
During the tour, we will discover the secrets of the mountains surrounding the village, the Tajo de Ronda and the formation of this iconic canyon as we advance along its vertical walls. After completing both routes and enjoying a unique panoramic view of the Tajo from the heights, we will return to the starting point.
The total duration of the experience is approximately 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
It is not necessary to have experience in via ferrata and can be done from the age of 12.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult; from the age of 14 they can also present authorisation from a legal guardian.
It is necessary to have a minimum weight of 45 kg and a height of over 1. 40 metres.
People with vertigo and pregnant womenare advised not to participate.
The experience is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

The experience is available all year round and is confirmed when a minimum group of 2 people is reached.
Important: you must inform the guide in advance of the following information about each participant : height, weight, allergies or illnesses. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
Accompanying persons who do not participate with possible pets can go for a walk in the village of Benalauría. If you have experience in hiking, you will also find some routes in the area.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
