The call of the ocean is strong in Lanzarote: if you dream of surfing waves, this is the perfect place to start!
With this group surf lesson, you will discover everything you need to stand up on the board and go for your first wave.
Together with an instructor, you'll learn how to paddle, take off, choose the right moment and - most importantly - have fun without any worries!
The ideal experience to get close to surfing in the wild surroundings of Playa de Famara, one of the most popular spots for surfers of all levels.
What we will do
The meeting time is 10 minutes before 9:00 at the meeting point in Lanzarote. You can also ask the organiser for a transfer from your hotel or accommodation.
On board a van driven by the instructor, we will arrive together at Playa de Famara, one of the most emblematic surfing spots on the island. There, the equipment will be handed over: board and wetsuit.
Then we will start the class with an introduction on the beach, where the instructor will explain the safety rules in the water, how to take off (stand up on the board) and how to paddle correctly.
We will then move from the sand to the ocean to put everything we have learnt into practice. For approximately 2 hours, we will train the take off, learn how to read the waves and how to balance on the board.
The class is done in small groups, and each person will be able to learn at their own pace, with the direct supervision of the instructor also in the water.
At the end, we will return to the meeting point or to the hotel/accommodation in the same vehicle. The total duration of the experience will be about 2 hours and a half.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for children aged 8 and over. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult during the activity, while children under the age of 18 can participate on presentation of a signed authorisation.
No previous experience in surfing or other water sportsis required but it is necessary to know how to swim.

The experience is available all year round.
Please note: the timetable may vary depending on sea and wind conditions.
Free and/or paid parking is available in the area, and the meeting point is accessible by public transport.
On site you will find changing rooms and showers, and you can store your belongings in a secure locker.
Dogs are not allowed during the experience.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
