A head torch, the echo of your footsteps... and a hidden world opens up beneath your feet.
Explore the Túnel del Sumidor, the deepest gypsum cave in the world and the only one with an underground river in Valencia.
A 4-hour caving adventure through passages, natural chambers and surprising formations. We are waiting for you!
What we will do
The appointment is at 8:30 in Vallada in the province of Valencia. The guide who will accompany us throughout the experience will be waiting for us there.
After an approach walk of about 30 minutes, we will arrive at the entrance to the Túnel del Sumidor, where we will receive the technical equipment and a complete briefing on safety, basic techniques and the route we are going to take.
We will then begin our journey underground. We will follow the active water course of the tunnel, crossing rock sections, passages and wet areas, while observing unique geological formations and learning about the karst phenomenon and the secrets hidden in this underground jewel.
During the route the guide will tell us curiosities about the cave and about the geological and natural history of the Barranco del Penyo, where this hidden wonder is located.
The experience lasts about 4 hours and ends with the return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for children aged 6 and over. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult participant or have a signed authorisation.
The experience is not suitable for pregnant women, people with heart disease and people with mobility problems. It is not suitable for those who do not cope well with enclosed spaces.
Other information
The experience is available all year round and is confirmed when a minimum number of 3 participants is reached.
Free parking is available at the meeting point.
The number of guides will be adapted to the number of participants in order to carry out the activity in complete safety.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
